1. How obvious is it to everyone that rooney simply can''t play alongside a small, nippy striker...neither can he play upfront by himself...essentially he is a playmaker rather then an out and out goalscorer (he''s in the sheringham mold some might say), therefore it''s crucial that we play 4-4-2 with him alongside a targetman esque player, you''re heskey''s, crouches and ashtons (however none of them are world class or cant keep fit for 2 weeks running)In the midfield it''s about someone realises gerrard is the best midfielder we have and rightly or wrongly he plays best when he is the star of the team, and as he has stated plays best as a box-to-box player with a defensive player alongside him...on the wings we need somone who has great ability when it comes to crossing the ball (to feed the target man) and on the other a tricky, flair player which in england is extremely rare (to play one-two''s with rooney)The defence imo is fine, terry and ferdinand at the back, richards at right back and cole left-back with james in goal...so my team?             JamesRichards   Ferdinand   Terry   A.Cole

Bentley  Gerrard   Hargreaves  A.Young                           Rooney             Ashton

  2. on the subject of chrome, anyone know how to set and access the home page? rather then the ''most visited'' sites thing...i''m trying to decide whether or not i want to change all my settings onto chrome or just carry on using firefox...i originally got firefox after people saying it was much superior then IE about 2 years ago, but i have to say the two are very similar, though apparently chrome can upload videos quicker

  3. a very good post, I was going to post something similiar to this yesterday even before the man city debactcle, but that has just added weight to the claims...The gap has got stupidly big now even between the ''big 4'' which has realisitcally become the ''big 2'' until man city potentially catch up, but what next?! is there a bloke out there richer then this arab?, it surely will reach boiling point soon, and we''ll have a similiar scenario to that of the itv digital collapse only on a much bigger scale, clubs outside the premier are still realistically reeling from this, but have clubs learned there lesson?! I don''t think so, and in 5-10 years time I honestly think we''ll be watching a hardcore 30-40 clubs rather then the current 92
2 things 1. excellent signing 2. all the moaning idiots complaining about its only a loan take into account hes 34, not match fit and scoring record is not the greatest so doesnt commit all our resources in one pot!
lol try and spot the contradiction between 1 and 2
if this bloke was being serious at the time, please can I be the first to nominate it for ''post of the year''..its the sort of thing you''d love to hear on barry call

  5. completely agree with mister chops, it seems most people actually watched the same game for a change, though for me lupoli was brought off at the right time, the bloke was knackered about 35mins in the first halve and it showed as gradually brum got back into as he stopped chasing the balls...if we can get a decent target man alongside him our team will be extremely impressive, but i''d still have russell someone, gives us that much needed bite

  6. huh? how does that make sense, and i''m afraid football transfers aren''t that simple...who knows whether the rumoured £1mill is all upfront or installements, the board will probably let roeder have about 75% of the money to spend again plus roeder said he would bring in another defender if he leaves (dont quite know why when we have the greek myth and doherty when he returns) but we have about 750k to spend on a striker i say

  7. i was at reading this weekend, just caught the end of bloc party and could have sworn I saw a norwich flag, I quickly pointed this out to the rabble that I was with (we too were wearing norwich tops) only for the flag just to dissappear before the killers lacklustre performance and the rabble then denied they''re even was one!

    LOWLIGHT: The Killers

HIGHLIGHT: Cribs / Digitisilism / RATM

  8.
The sooner Cureton is out of the starting line up the better.

He''s lazy, he offers nothing when not on the ball and now he cant even hit the bloody target when 1 on 1 with the keeper.   He''s lived off his one season wonder with Colchester for too long now.  He may kiss the badge and he may love the team but Jamie Cureton is not fit to start up front for this great club.   Nothing personal, just business.

I would agree with you there, other then the bit ive highlighted...I don''t think he''s a lazy player, its just he simply isnt good enough anymore....you simply can''t miss a one on one like that, he wasn''t even in a straight line (which could have made it a tad more difficult) he simply had to slide rule it into the bottom corner when he just got into the box...it really showed how low his confidence is and I would much rather russell play i''m afraid

  9. I was gonna say...you''ve possibly named 2 of the best away grounds for us in recent years LGT! [:D]....To be honest, this league is so tight, it really doesn''t matter what team were playing, right now it doesn''t matter whether we play brum or swansea, or doncaster or derbyIf you''re on about unhappy hunting grounds why not try coventry, wolves, palace or my personal favourate sheffield wednesday...when''s the last time we won there?!

  10. there''s no way we can possibly go for a 4-5-1 system with the strikers we have currently avaliable to us, which is what roeder probably would have played away from home if we had a target man in place....therefore i see a 4-4-2 similar to everyone else''s team, I would love to see russell in the centre, but i fear he will go with 2 defensive midfielders to allow hoolahan and croft to get forward, upfront its a tricky one..I don''t think roeder fancies cureton too much, but due to the other''s lack in fitness and the fact cureton has a little bit more practice with the rest of the team, he''ll start with cureton and corona....So thenMarshallSemmy Kennedy Stefanovic BertrandCroft Fozzy Clingan  HooliganCureton CoronaSubs: Nelson, Shackell, Drury, Russel, Lupoli

  11. If were honest, 17,000 isn''t exactly a bad figure for a friendly is it?! I mean who would you rather watch, spurs or west ham?I know the two clubs are fairly close in geographical terms (west ham and ipswich that is) but that''s what ipswich were averaging roughly last year for their league games, I mean how many other clubs would sell more then 17,000 tickets for that game..you just have to ignore our insane, fanatical support which for ever reason would probably sell out if we were playing a revitalised scarborough team on a wet, cold december night for the ldv vans trophy first round!!

  12. yep, he played in a second string side palace against dagenham the other day and apparently impressed, the chap who is reponsible for getting him a trial from his non-league club also stated how many other players he has brought from lower league ''the likes of dean sinclair have gone onto hugely impress in the league''...is that really true?! hahabut yeah thats a non-starter for us, and warnock is also interested in a striker from norway, I am correct in saying iverson is norweigan am i not? (i realise he is playing in sweden at the moment), we always have similair targets to those of palace so this one could be true
