1978 was a freak year. Forest won the league, Binners the cup and FC Brugge got to the European Cup Final. Thankfully things have moved on...

Freak year😉. APART from Binners and the cup. The rest is somewhat very much a fairytale. As such  Forest and Brugge are the things of dreams for the normal supporter. May more tales like this survive, so we can stop talking about the big boys. Expect the unexpected,  but don't be surprised. Keep the adrenaline  flowing.👍

The players, manager and coaches built up a siege mentality after Blackburn and it undeniably has brought a massive improvement in results and performances. We are a super fit side and that’s due to the fitness management. Set piece coach Hooze deserves credit for yesterday. Far more than an SD either past or present.

If Wagner is replaced in the summer it will be a huge call. There won’t be any patience if the new guy doesn’t hit the ground running. There’s been no patience since Covid…

Head Coach, sorry I like manager terminology. That's what the guy is FFS. This S.D . Malarky,  just like many other self important positions in many industries,  is mostly  a load of waffle. Absolutely waffle. Recruitment  helper for the manager. Save yourself a few bob. Good secretary  for the manager . Jobs a good one. Let's get real here. There are guys in football who have not got a clue, let's be honest. One has just gone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍. Some people ,get lucky, some land lucky,  some have good connections and some are obvious con men.

It was a fantastic game but I'm far from convinced by the Newcastle penalty. Apart from being offside, Gordon stuck his leg out sideways to initiate contact. He was making no attempt to play the ball.

    Murphy had another solid game.

💯, still The kind of games that are worth watching. Committed players all over. Correct   Murphy again had a solid game. 👍

Aarons was good carrying the ball but the consitency of his delivery from wide areas once he'd got there was not as good as Stacey's.

I always said it's the one thing that if he could add, would make him top class.

Spot on👍💯. Stacey is a top man.

I'm still not completely onboard with Wagner, though of course can only support the improvement he has made since he plumbed the depths.

Since the Blackburn game when he most definitely should have gone, we had the Watford debacle, two 1-0 defeats at West Brom and Millwall, (points simply thrown away by inept decisions) and the dreadful Southampton performance.

Recent performances and results are helping, but he still makes some bizarre changes even if he finally seems to have realised that putting players in their best position gets them playing better; and he's definitely not certain to be in charge next season regardless of what league we are in.

and he's definitely not certain to be in charge next season regardless of what league we are in.

Maybe not , maybe yes, who knows . Enjoy the ride. The air is more clear now. The dark clouds are for now lifted. The b--ĺśhît that surrounded the club , surely has gone. Good Times,  me thinks. One can only hope. Nothing is 100% certain, but it certainly feels much better.😉

It certainly coincides with the fall out from the Blackburn game when it seemed Wagner was at the end of his road.

Wagner says he and the players worked this out. But it also coincides with Knapper starting so who knows? Perhaps a combination? Or take your pick because it’s not important. It’s the results that are important.

If Wagner had been sacked after Blackburn and these 15 games had been under a new manager I think many would have found it easier to get onboard.

Or take your pick because it’s not important. It’s the results that are important.

Yes, that's what counts. MANY factors for this happening. David Wagner is a top man. He appears to have come through the worst. Knapper has maybe helped with that, who knows. It really does not  matter. The results are there for all to see. Players have good games, bad games, it's life. One thing I would say . There seems to be a breath of fresh air around the place since the ex SD has gone. It feels so much better. (My opinion)

Coca cola tonight. It's the nastiness and mean-spiritedness behind the aspersions that bug me. We've had everything on here about Webber tonight, 'racist', 'narcissist', 'saviour complex' (paraphrasing), 'did he say it to deliberately damage the club?' It's really really ugly, mean-spirited that feels very much like the families' understandable upset which I do sympathise with, being hijacked and amplified for sensationalism from the journalists, justifying their existence from the anti-racism campaigners, and just a continued theme of spite towards the guy from a section of Norwich City fans.

Webber merits criticism for the comment, he was wrong to say it, it was right that he apologised, but this is ugly, and Webber isn't the source of the ugliness here.

He just attracts controversy in whatever he does. Is he having personal problems, I don't know. It has always been about him. That's the way I see it. I don't personally like the guy and never have done. Call it a gut feeling. Unfortunately he thought he was bigger than the club. The fans are the mainstay of a football club , without them he doesn't get paid a handsome salary. He always seemed to me to think that the fans were secondary. Basically , I don't like the fella at all. You Really don't see any other DOF. SD whatever you want to call them being so vocal in the press. For me he brings all the attention on himself for the wrong reasons.  Not very smart to be honest. Maybe he will learn from this, somehow I don't think so. The ego is huge and certainly not justified. Why people on his sort of money can't just do a job and be appreciative, for what they get , beats me. He needs to wake up to reality. He's made an arsssśe of himself and let down the people who gave him a free to do whatever he liked. He's blown it , nothing more, nothing less. I'm off fo a beer now. This guy has commanded more of my time than I could ever imagine. Goodnight!

There's something deeply wrong with you lot. Just a bunch of idiots having another pop because he once bit back at some abusive fans.

Quite honestly  Lyb, how much wine have you been drinking  , your just absoultely spouting out utter garbage. Have any early night  and take the day off tomorrow before you self implode. We look after each other on this forum. Chill out man ! I'm worried about your mindset.  Don't want you going down the same road as some of your heroes 🙃

Look at the Summit Foundation, of which he was talking about when making this gaffe.  They're actively engaged in doing as you say and making the same point as you are.

However, I do question whether the foundation work is more a vanity project used to validate his personal goal in climbing Everest.  And i'm likely cynical because of his ego, but it's not helped when reading published text like this:

"Stuart has always had the dream of climbing Mount Everest and when in 2020 he decided to pursue that dream Zoe felt that if he was going to set himself such an extreme challenge then he may as well do it for a good cause!"

"Stuart will be providing the financial support to achieve his goal of climbing Everest and will use it to raise awareness of the foundation."

I dunno, something about it just seems a bit creepy to me, how it's him first in all aspects. Then you throw in the involvement in Soul Church, it's links to hillsong and reputation of being cult-like.  Then you consider how both appear to promote philanthropy to raise their profiles.....   I just don't know what to think, really.

However , GB , I like that wording . I understand your wording and possibly concerns. Honestly , I feel the same. As I think , what is obvious,  wherever this person is concerned , anything is possible as you well understand . Anyway GB. Sometimes, you feel like a brother to me from a distance in Brazil . Maybe the (SOUL) brothers. No ,  that sounds a bit creepy. You know what I mean.😉. I'm sure I know what I think and have thought about it for a long time now. What a fine mess NCFC allowed themselves to get into, all for allowing an ego to roam free to do whatever he liked. Oh , if only there had been some corporate control over employees. Ah well, what's done is done. Never forget - FANS are the most important thing to This club. They pay , the wages and very high wages to some. Without them it does not exist.

Arguing whether or not it was a racist comment is to a large degree irrelevant. I think it clearly was but that's just my perception and other people see it differently.

I have yet to see anybody say it was a sensible thing to say, in fact I'm sure 9 out of 10 would agree that it was stupid and unnecessary.

The big question is, did Webber's comment make it more or less likely that a talented young black player will sign for us. I'm absolutely certain that it will make it less likely and as a result the club and its supporters will ultimately suffer.

The only other question is whether or not Webber deliberately set out to damage the club.

What does expect the unexpected mean?

    Answer and Explanation:

'Expect the unexpected' most closely means accept the fact that there will be surprises along the way and/or things that cannot be controlled. Essentially, don't be surprised by random and/or unusual events that may occur.

I don't agree it's racist. People have chosen to take offense on race grounds, but he never said a word about race.

But that won't stop the anti-racism inquisition and their zealotry. Repent, sinner,

    Sinner2🤣🙃

Webber did not have absolute authority; a CEO does. I'm completely at a loss how anyone can protest against Webber having too much power and also wanting to reinstate the position of CEO.

He has been a loose cannon , who engages his mouth before his brain , if there is such a thing inside his head. He has dramatically let the owners completely down with his antics over the last few days. They trusted him with the club. He let them down. You remember him whatever way you like. I have long before this final episode disliked him for many reasons.
