Head of academy coaching leaves for binners
Mengo replied to Danke bitte's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Wright isn't the first new member of the Town staff to have been recruited from Norwich City this summer with head of venue Stuart Cox, Playford Road facilities manager Dean Sharp and Lynette Hannant, PA to CEO Ashton, also having joined from the Canaries. -
The verdict A player that proved to be above the level with MK Dons for the vast majority of the campaign, the 22-year-old represents someone who can make an impact in the here and now, whilst also being able to play a big part in the future. Naturally, it will be a big step up for the young attacker, however, given the confidence and ability he displayed last season, he has every chance of replicating that at Turf Moor. This will come as a blow for several Championship clubs who have been monitoring this situation. THE HERE AND NOW AND ALSO THE FUTURE. Click here to comment on this article

Set piece coach appointed
Mengo replied to Terminally Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Looks like Deano is trying to move in the right direction. I think Stuart should be given more time off for Mountain things. Obviously Deano and Neil can more than deal with the job in hand. Yeah , for sure Stu take as much time off as you need. -

Set piece coach appointed

When I first joined the club, I spoke to Stuart and Neil about bringing in a set-piece coach. I’ve worked with them at both Brentford and Aston Villa and I believe that there is a lot of untapped potential for us in this area. Nice one Deano for trying to move the standards up . -

This. City head coach Smith was delighted to have brought Russell to Carrow Road, saying: "We’re really pleased to have been able to appoint Allan as our new set-piece coach. -
What we needed for sure. Hopefully over his injuries now. As AW said : Arsène Wenger has described Hayden as a player whose key assets are concentration, intelligence and strength. Equally comfortable at centre-back or in central midfield, whilst having also previously featured at right-back and as a playmaker. Well done the SAS. I'm convinced you guys made this a no1 priority. It's taken a while for common sense to arrive.

A Danel Sinani brace was enough to sweep aside a lacklustre Lithuania side, while maintaining Luxembourg’s competitive unbeaten record against the Baltic nation. An international side on the up, Luxembourg began their UEFA Nations League campaign confident of competing for promotion. Sharing a group with big boys Turkey, Luc Holtz’s side entered their clash with Lithuania in the knowledge a victory would set them up well. Probing throughout the first 45 minutes, the opener arrived on the brink of HT, when Sinani rifled into the roof of the net from an acute angle inside the penalty area. In truth, it was a deserved opener for the visitors, who had placed consistent pressure on the Lithuanian defence prior to finding the lead. At the heart of all things positive for Luxembourg, Yvandro Borges Sanches shone for the visiting side, with the teenage starlet whistling an effort just wide of the post midway through the half. Providing the assist for Sinani’s goal, Sanches’ endeavours were rewarded after a stellar first-half performance. Ranked more than 40 places higher than their opponents, Luxembourg might have expected to dominate proceedings in Vilnius, with the visitors coming closest to adding a second after the break. Leandro Barreiro Martins picked out Christopher Martins Pereira inside the box, but the Luxembourg captain was unable to divert his header goalwards, instead, skewing his effort over the crossbar. Desperate for an equaliser, the Lithuania attack began clicking into gear, with Linas Mėgelaitis coming within inches of netting the leveller. Switching to a more expansive style, space opened up at the opposite end, with the away side happy to take advantage. Applying the final touch to a blistering counterattack, Sinani curled home from close range to net his second of the night and ensure an opening game victory for Luxembourg. Flashscore Man of the Match: Danel Sinani (Luxembourg)
