  1. I don't think it'll happen, but Jones on loan wouldn't be a crazy idea. He is only 29, and wants to prove himself in the premiership to get his career back on track. Man U will want to offload at least a percentage of his wages. Good competition for Gibson and Hanley, and doesn't block Andrew's path to the first team...I'd take it. Scrap that - just remembered we've used up our loan quota.
  2. Guessing United haven't found a preferred loan move for him (where he'll play every week) and they assume he'll get plenty of minutes as cover for both Aarons and Giannoulis. For Norwich, I guess if it works out, and we stay injury free, Mumba can go out on a short term loan to get some game time.
  3. But seems like Obafemi is rumoured to be that striker and the whole thing is irrelevant
  4. Not going to pretend I know either tbh. Just assume a deal plus a striker makes more sense for Blackburn considering the market and reduces (or delays) the money they have to give to Newcastle. Therefore makes sense that we might be included in the conversation - especially as ay striker we would include would be on Championship style wages that Blackburn could afford to pay...
  5. Regarding the Armstrong link, it sounds like Blackburn are desperate to circumvent the large sell on fee to Newcastle by insisting that a striker be included in the deal. Partly so they get more cash, but also so they can re-invest that money in the squad and still have a replacement ST. So if Idah (as reported) or Hugil...or maybe even both, were included in the bid then that might make some sense. Still don't see it happening though. However, does show why the sell-on-fee for Tzolis is such a sticking point for Webber.
