  1. The Club is in coaching limbo until the new Sporting Director arrives . Some might say the whole Club has been in limbo since the current Sporting Director resigned but then hung around like a bad smell infecting everyone with his stench of negativity. Wagner will stay regardless of his results until his chum Webber has finally left the building.

  2. So many people still think Idah is a striker!?! He should not even be in the squad let alone on the team sheet. He spent all his time on the pitch hiding from the ball and when he did accidentally get given the ball his first touch was normally appalling . His attitude was that of a spoilt brat (especially when substituted) and was seen too often trying to coach Nunez on how he should be playing. I would pick ABI (Anyone But Idah).

  3. While generally  I am not a great fan of Chris Sutton’s opinions, for me he is correct in this instance. The present form of the Club is unacceptable to the Supporters, the Directors and the Owners. It SHOULD be unacceptable to the Sporting Director, the Coaching staff and the players, but there seems to be a lack of any plan, any positive steps to turn this around. The Head Coach spouts the same old cliched generalisations about trying our best,” the next win is just around the corner” , the Sporting Director could not give a flying fig as he is halfway out the door and the players show no spirit, commitment or drive. If I witness Gibson , at two nil down at home and with 9 Norwich players in front of him , turn round and pass it back to the keeper one more time then all hope is lost . We are paying that player £40,000 plus a week, we all deserve better.

  4. Wagner acknowledges that he is to blame. The Supporters know that he is to blame. Do the players feel that they are blameless? I paid good money to watch a clueless squad capitulate to Leeds and Middlesbrough at home. There were too many players who are clearly underperforming, are they blameless? Individuals like Idah plod around the pitch, hiding from the ball and then shakes his head at the portion of the fans who give him stick for not contributing? Is he blameless?  A lot of hard looks need to be taken by our players at their own performance and how they are going to improve because at the moment they are clearly not fit for purpose.

  5. Of course neither Wagner nor Webber will leave tonight. Or tomorrow. Nor the next day. Who would sack them? And neither has the integrity to resign. So we are stuck with them both and a failing, pathetic team until a new brush comes along to sweep all the dross away into the gutter. What a spineless , gutless,  , inadequate performance devoid of character and application.

  6. Excuses for not going are myriad, however as a Supporter I will be turning up to see how my team gets on. Admittedly I travel more in hope than expectation of a good performance. The pressure is  on Webber to make good on his promise that “ the next win is just around the corner” , so it will be interesting to see what random selection of players and positions he chooses to achieve that win.

  7. I predicted before the game that we would lose 0-3 to Leeds. So to go in at half time 2-0 up was a surprise and a bonus. However, at halftime I was still predicting a 2-3 lose and so it came to be. We are just a mediocre squad with little ambition or character, being lead by an average coach who cannot motivate the players. I have accepted that we are at best a mid-table team with only mid-table ambitions. I give that signing of a few old has been journeymen players as only one example of this lack of ambition. We will be fortunate to avoid a bottom of the table scrap at the end of this season if we sell the only two player assets that we have in January ( I do not mean Idah and McLean, please move them on).

  8. Once again we have accrued a squad that feels it is not a good use of their talents to actually turn up and do what they are paid for. There was no effort or commitment or character, most players could not be bothered to break into a sweat, even at 4 - nil down , no reaction, nothing. Wagner needs to show he has the skill set to motivate a failing squad, an aging , unfit squad. What is really worrying is that that performance is a reflection of a deeper malaise at the Club, a Sporting Director with one foot out the door, an owner looking to pass on the mantle to a new investor, a Head Coach appointed in an old pals act with a track record of failure at his last two jobs. Or, it might just be a one off aberration.

  9. Lack of quality? I think that there is enough quality in the squad to do much better than that first half performance at Rotherham, BUT that quality has to show up and compete. Passing was appalling and the desire to be first to the ball and control the game was just not there. Sorry to say that if Idah is to be our first choice striker until the new year then we will definitely struggle.

  10. Not sure about Webber’s motivation for leaving. He obviously believes he is destined for greater things beyond little Norwich and he thinks with Norwich finishing middle table in the Championship his job here is done. We all thank him for the great Club spirit he has generated with the Supporters and wish him well with his hill walking and whatever.
