  1. Until the mad Webber purchases of old , over the hill, no hopers the Club model was to recognise young talent, develop that talent and sell on that talent for a good profit. I expect to see Rowe to be moved on under this model , if not in this January window then in the summer window. This will always be a stepping stone club for ambitious young players. We are lucky to see their talent for as long as we can.

  2. The most glaring development in the squad for the Wagner reign is the evident loss of belief of the players in how the team is constructed and instructed. This has infected the stands to such an extent that most Supporters expectations have been lowered to accommodate the mediocrity on display on the pitch. Every Supporter I chat with has no belief that this regime will achieve anything other that lower half of the Championship table. Many are questioning whether they can even be bothered to turn up and watch a home match, and many (like me) will probably not renew our season tickets. We are currently 20 points away from an automatic promotion spot (unlikely) and only 13 points away from a demotion (still possible). All of this under Wagner’s watch. The whole season has been a dispiriting endeavour which few have found entertaining.

The fight to escape this malaise has to start immediately, anything less that a result at Hull tonight MUST result in reorganisation.

  3. Excellent article from Bridget sums up the disaster of governance at NCFC.
With regards to Delia Smith’s performance at the AGM- it was as if she decided to take a dump in her own hands and then clap. The resulting shower of excrement splattered on all in attendance including her fellow Directors. If I was a Director I would never accept that and would be either extraditing myself from involvement in the Club or calling for her to stand down. Totally unacceptable and indicative of the amateur way this Club is run.

  4. Passing backwards or square is an easy option to ensure that your personal player stats reflect a high percentage of “completed passes” rather than attempt an attacking move which may result in an “incomplete pass”. Our Captain is the worst offender often passing backwards to the keeper when there are 9 Norwich players ahead of him. Admittedly he moves the ball so slowly that by the time he is prepared to pass all our players are marked up by the opponent. It is boring and awful to watch and has been coached into the side by a truly unimaginative and weak coaching set up.

  5. You “Boo Boys” are a disgrace! You should just be grateful that you are allowed to bask in the tactical GENIUS that is Wagner! The man is absolutely brilliant, witness today’s exceptional performance at home against the lower league Bristol Rovers and their team of world class players. We held them at home to a draw by passing square or backwards at every opportunity and thus stunning the opposition into a comatose state. Did you see the way Wagner yanked Sargent off at half time , the only Norwich player who seemed like he wanted to win the game? Genius! And then the second half where he forced our players to make no serious effort to put the ball near the opposition goal? Unbelievably excellent motivation of the squad. Stop whinging and accept that we are fortunate to have Wagner guiding our team to success, he is a GENIUS!

  6. Wagner ,I think , is actively trying to get sacked. Playing at home he adopts a 5-4-1 formation and calls it  a “brave” decision. He must think the Supporters are idiots. Is this the level to which this Club has sunk? Is this the exciting football that we were promised? To deliberately set out a formation that will struggle to get possession or even get out of our own half? Madness ! Another two points dropped at home and another season ticket that will not be renewed.

  7. Why should Wagner stay? Because he is brilliant! I would willingly pay double to witness the exciting spectacle of the constant passing square or backwards for no reason or the steadfast refusal to enter the opposition half with any real intent to score a goal. The constant churn of players and the positions they are asked to play in is a mystery which grips my imagination, I am all a tremble in expectation of the match day team sheet revelation! I want more rather than less of this fantastic entertainment. We need to hang on to Wagners’ immense talents for as long as possible.

  8. Please stop making excuses for Barnes being over the hill. He is 34,  legs have gone,  desire has gone , fluffs almost every chance he gets and is a poor example to any aspiring striker. Millwall should have been his last appearance for Norwich City.

  9. I predict that Norwich have now turned the corner and will play fast moving, exciting football with energy and incisiveness. Fantastic team selection and wonderful match tactics will have the Carrow Road fans in an ecstasy of loud enthusiasm . All the years will drop away from the over 30 year old squad members and they will play like teenagers again! It’s gonna be brilliant! Brilliant!!

  10. My personal opinion is that Barnes brings absolutely nothing to the side. Nothing. He is two yards too slow and half a brain short of professional. What was he thinking against Millwall ? Brawling on the pitch like a drunk in a pub car park? His legs will not allow him to be a target man up front where lots of running is required, he is 34 years old. 34! What was the Club thinking of signing him ? For two years! For a salary of a reported £30,000 per week (£1,560,000 per year). Outrageous!

  11. By keeping Wagner in place as Head Coach Knapper is signalling his acceptance of his style and approach. What we see on the pitch MUST be what our Sporting Director is content with, otherwise he would have replaced Wagner already.
By extension Knapper must also endorse the pitiful, pathetic, ponderous, old, slow, talentless, turgid, inept, clueless squad that is allowed to pull on the strip and cross the line onto the field of play. Last night 7 of the starting 11 were over the age of 30 and only 2 were below the age of 25. No wonder we look slow, knackered and exhausted after 20 minutes. Ashley Barnes , aged 34 , looked tired after the pre-match warm up and if I saw him on a full bus I would stand up and offer the poor soul my seat.

it is beyond obvious that this is all completely unacceptable.

  12. Norwich are going to get creamed , big time. I think it will be 5 - 0 to Ipswich. Ipswich are a young, fit side with talent who move the ball quickly and run off the ball when in possession to create opportunities for the player with the ball. They have ideas and ambition. Contrast with Norwich who are old , full of players who are two yards too slow and tired after 30 minutes, who have no ideas and will not run for each other. The Norwich side is full of players who have no ambition to see promotion as they know they stand no chance whatsoever of being selected in a Premiership side ; a nice quiet middle of the table showing which will see them out to the end of their career before they slip into obscurity.

  13. “Consistency “ is not a word that you would associate with the performances of Norwich City this season. So although you may expect the small momentum that Norwich has acquired with winning 3 of the last 4 will be continued against Preston this cannot be guaranteed. I expect much less cheering , not more, from the Stands than ever before due to the insulting , arrogant “boo boy” comments of Delia Smith. Will we really get behind our team when they display so little ambition in winning a game? Will we cheer enthusiastically as our Captain bravely turns around and passes back to the keeper when there are 9 other Norwich players ahead of him?  Will we clap and holler as our players steadfastly refuse to play in the opponent’s half or attempt a shot on their goal?  I expect we can expect another dour performance which may require Preston gifting us an own goal for Norwich to achieve a result today.
