  1. It is sad to see Barnes. Old, knackered after the pre match warm up, legs gone, two yards too slow, easily injured, obviously at the very end of his playing days, desperate to squeeze out the last few pay days from a mug punter club. Sad. Should never have been.brought to the Club and certainly not on a three year, expensive contract. Like Wagner he is part of the past and has nothing to contribute to a forward looking head coach. Pay him off, give him away, send him on gardening leave, just get rid. Along with Duffy.

  2. Knapper has been the invisible man since his appointment. No idea what his philosophy is or what his aims for the Club are. He needs to either stamp his authority on the Club and give it some positive direction or he needs to admit that he is not the man for the job and move on. Like so many others at the Club he is just marking time, doing the least they need to do to get the salary and producing nothing watchable or entertaining.
We will watch to see if he has the minerals to make positive changes. As Sporting Director the buck stops with him, he is accountable for that disaster of a performance last night.

  3. Not feeling as enthusiastic for this fixture as I should. Probably because I believe that we do not deserve to be in the playoffs and that we do not have the quality to compete against an on form Leeds. I guess that our progress to Wembley will rest on how motivated the NCFC squad are for this game. At home, against a Leeds side who have lost 4 of their last 6, with a chance of promotion and all the financial benefits that will bring, then the squad should really be up for this contest. However, turkeys don’t vote for Christmas; how many of this squad see themselves selected for a Premiership game and so how many will really be trying to get promoted knowing it will probably be the end of their career. Prime example is Duffy, at 32, who must realise that he is done here if we are promoted but who would probably still make a Championship side. How many of our squad will really be up for this game?

  4. As I watched Norwich’s no hopers with no ideas struggle to avoid defeat against Bristol City at home I was struck by the realisation that we do not deserve to be in the playoffs and we definitely do not deserve to be promoted. We are just not good enough. I was remembering how lucky we were to have players like Buendia and Maddison play regularly at Carrow Road and how we miss seeing players of such quality. Who would get selected for a Premiership team from our current squad of 34 year old strikers and assorted end of career journeymen, other than Angus Gunn? Sorry state of affairs.

  5. What is the Wagner game plan? Cannot see anything positive here. Poor defence and nobody to play out to if we do get the ball. Barnes and Sargent need to be that out ball but they are too busy helping out midfield or even deeper into the back four. Otherwise one way traffic and no hope to hold out for another 40 minutes. Their keeper playing in the centre circle, shows how bad we are.

  6. I am not a fan of the 34 year old. If you are playing out from the back he is not the target man you need as he is two yards too slow. Yesterday when I saw him stripping off to come on as a substitute I moaned that whatever the question, Barnes is not the answer. But he proved me wrong, his inclusion turned the game into victory.
