  1. I always felt for him, and wanted to see him get more of a chance. He was clearly desperate to play for us but was just never going to play ahead of Pukki when we only played one striker, or now Sargent either.

I remember in a game not long ago him being away on the break and the ref blowing up for full time (we'd won the match) and he booted the ball away in momentary frustration at being denied the chance of scoring. I liked that attitude.

  2. I find it utterly baffling that so many people think we should get rid of Hanley - how many better CBs are there in the Champ right now? I think CBs have the sort of role, much like keepers, where people tend to only notice the mistakes, and therefore every club's fanbase is excessively critical of their own CBs. I bet if you asked all the fans across the Champ, they'd all say the grass was greener at other clubs in terms of their defenders.

  3. I think people are really understating how good QPR were yesterday, especially in defence. It's very blinkered to ignore the opposition's performance when assessing you own team's, and just to base it purely on league positions. I thought we looked fairly good. We were solid throughout with occasional patches of attacking domination. Obviously we need to increase the length and regularity of those periods of domination, but that's where we go from here hopefully.

People now seem to be hooking onto this mantra that VAR isn't the problem, it's the people running it. No, it isn't. VAR is the problem. It has no place in the game and should be binned. It undermines the referee, slows the game down and it has been shown that it doesn't help to get decisions consistently correct. No, it doesn't even out over a season either.

Came on here to say the same thing. How many more years of people saying "it's not VAR, it's the way it's being used" and nothing changing do we have to endure before people realise that maybe, just maybe that isn't the case?

Looks like a Zap ice lolly! Damn I loved those lollies.

Knew it reminded me of something!

I like it, probably more than the away kit, but I fundamentally believe our badge should always be the normal yellow and green, whatever kit it's on, even if it clashes. A badge is a badge.

  6. I feel similar to the OP and others.

Maybe if this US investment comes to something it will give us all a bit more optimism about the possibility of staying up if we manage promotion this season? Knowing that we'd have a bit more in the bank to spend on players upon promotion, it would change how we felt about it all? Meanwhile, I am quite excited to see us with some of these new midfielders.
