I was at the game and there was categorically no racist chanting (in the sense of black/white/Asian). The ''You Fat Bas*ard'' chant in question was sung by virtually the entire Norwich contigent with very few exceptions. Yobo was being booked for clattering Holt I think and Rooney came running over to the Ref to put his two penneth in. Nothing to do with him but the away fans decided he should keep his nose out and had a go. Strangely songs about Scotsmen, Northerners and inbred farmers were sung with nobody seeming to find this offensive. Why a supposed chant about a black Nigerian is offensive while one about a white Scotsman is not quite clear to me but that''s the way society sees it.
