Played Golf at a place called Cape Cornwall two weeks ago. They have a Caribbean Chef. I thanked afterwards for the delicious meal he had prepared for us which was spiced pulled pork and a lovely bowl of rice and peas.

He said "Ya dorn wanna be eatun dat baycarn man. its carrap. Dat pork wuz spart un far ya" Brilliant. I said to him, can you keep on talking to me while a get another pint, your voice is so rich and creamy I could listen all day.

So there you go. No Bacon. Eat proper Pork. Mind you Mrs KG and I are cutting back on our meat eating to see if we could become vegetarian.

    Mrs KG not eating meat.....?

Bit of an overshare Grandad 😂

The guy who usually sits next to me didn't attend Saturday. It was replaced with an old-ish bloke who at half time took his t-shirt off, which was disgusting enough. He then proceeded for 10 minutes into the second half to repeatedly call our players "a bunch of useless c*nts" on repeat, until he fell asleep in his chair, drooling down his naked chest.

What I'm trying to say is, think yourself f*cking lucky!

I wasn't asleep, just resting my eyes

I agree mate, you get more excitement and get more involved at the game but you certainly get more of a tactical overview watching on TV, I didn’t even realise their player was obstructing Krul for their disallowed goal until I saw the replay online!

When I'm in the crowd I'm shouting for fouls / penalties etc which look slightly different on slow motion replays 😂

Well I went and I thought he was excellent in the first half, yes he faded in the second but so did a few others, is my opinion more valid  because I went than if I watched it on a screen with the benefit of replays etc?

    That's a fantastic question Rivvo.

When I watch on TV  I see endless replays and I know exactly what's happening yet when I'm in the crowd I get the noise (or lack of) and atmosphere, obviously it's something else.

Which is best? Obviously being there is amazing but I'm not able to get to ebery game. Watching on TV doesn't give me the feeling of being in a crowd but seeing controversial incidents on several slow motion replays is a privilege we don't get at the ground.

Oh yeah that’s such a massive signal of intent. I believe the original thread was titled “Sean Dyche anyone?” And I said “at this point why not” that’s hardly me throwing all my cards in but keep desperately saying so. I also said Sean Dyche wouldn’t even come to us which is even more depressing.

why don’t you start another thread about how much you love Ipswich, binner?

There's alot of sexual tension on the board today

Strange comment when he has, in fact, done a more than decent job.

He wandered overmuch in the first game, but without great harm. In the second, I thought that his movement with the ball and his passing were both the best we have seen from the player for some time. He seemed to revel in the extra space afforded, and he actually seemed more commanding and prominent than he has done in the middle of the park of late, or for some time, according to some. Also, the responsibility suited him and I noticed that he showed some authority when defending set pieces.

Whether he'll compete more effectively when faced with a tricky wide man, or indeed  better attacking players, is anybody's guess, but at this moment in time he is proving to be surprisingly adequate as an elder statesman playing an influential role.

The other bonus is that it keeps him from being perpetually selected for the midfield, where I genuinely believe that we now have a selection of more useful performers lined up, not least young Gibbs but also two newcomers who have hardly figured. Perhaps McLean's much vaunted work rate that appeals to consecutive managers is no longer as vital to the cause.

We still need a temporary back-up, though.

If that's 'your truth' then I'm pleased for you, I just watched the games said what I saw.

The bloke should be made to buy a ticket like the other spectators.

Aside from a shocking cross field ball that big Andy saved his bacon from, a very fortunate offside on Afobe (Kenny ball watching) and that attempt to slide for the ball at the end, he did ok.

he is a midfielder though, cannot complain at the job he has done though

And all those times he was jogging back while Hanley and Gibbs had to go out to do the left back job.

The only thing Kenny has held in the last 3 seasons is his own head after giving the ball back to the oppos for the hundredth time.

And Gibson at left back? Jesus he's dangerous enough in the middle with passes let alone being asked to play full back and find forward passes even more regular

Very true, where was Kenny st left back when they scored down the right? He didn't need to be in the oppo penalty area  Smith had brought on plenty of attacking players already.
