Look at Portsmouth or Sunderland for example. I might have been a tad hyperbolic but this is not a good situation for Burnley despite the club trying to play it cool.
That's what I was alluding to 🤷♂️
I would say that it's pretty standard stuff for the Prem League, and a team with a chance of going down, no matter how 'established' they have been/situation with owners yada yada. It's just a news item that is expected, at this time of the season.
It's not 'great' for Burnley, but it's an example of modern football for you

Hardly big big trouble Cambridge, or are you just stirring up the headlines? It doesn't seem a significant amount, its not the whole amount is it? It's just a consequence of relegation. Nothing to really see hear I feel, if they went down

Great weekend Pickers!

Been totally off grid this week, but back, just in time!
Many congrats to Indy from last week.
I'd like my name to go against a Nottm Forest win please Nutty
All the very best, PuP pickers

I thought that had changed?

The amount of empty seats at Chelsea.
Sums up that level of football for me. Even the Chelsea fans can't get excited about a London derby.
-
Are these figures actually bums on seats on the day? Or is it a case of just taking the number of seats not sold to casuals, from the capacity?
I ask, because I've seen at West Ham for example, a host of empty seats at certain games, and yet the 'official' attendance is a smidge off capacity

You're right, it's ridiculous. Dereham and Fakenham must have been cooking up this story for years, they just needed the credibility of Erpingham house to join their conspiracy and boom, there it is. A story to rival the great literary visionaries. A famous man visits restaurant. He also goes shopping. Then he goes and eats food again! The audacity of these separate establishments, trying to pull the wool over our eyes. They probably think we believed the local papers that told us Stephen Fry got married in Dereham... ha ha, as if!
No one who has any ounce of credibility in the entertainment industry would come to these backward towns. That they've clearly fabricated it all and also got actors to claim Travolta 'signed a pack of sausage rolls' is laughable. The photo from inside The Romany Rye? You can see the green screen people!
Well done for fooling me for a moment, but not now. I've seen the light. I've been educated. I have a new way of thinking and living my life. Don't believe anyone, ever. Particularly don't believe any old frivolous fluff that really has no reason to be made up - thats the most dangerous of all lies. We don't know why yet, but we will find out, and when we do, it will be too late for all of us.
Don't worry Zac, it's not just you. They fooled me so much , that they actually paid me, and very handsomely at that, to do some work for him . I've been taken for a right mug

Can you stick my name against a Porto win also please Nutty?

Hi Nutty, I've been out of the loop since. Saturday evening, as I've been travelling so not seen all this hullabaloo!
Well played indeed Mr Angry👏
I guess we keep everything crossed for a payout of some description 🤞

Hi Nutty
Got the pin out and stuck it in the virtual donkey's tail.
Many thanks to all the suggestions, and I'd love it, if these 6 came in (purleeeease)
Tondela v SPORTING CP - Away win
WREXHAM v Eastleigh - Home win
SLAVIA PRAGUE V Pardubrice - Home win
CELTIC v St Johnstone - Home win (My pick)
UNION GILLOISE v Beerscot - Home win
BENFICA v Belenenses - Home win
I've sent you another £5 Nutty to put on a cheeky League One forecast, hoping the PuPs power will drive another nail in the Binners gnats whisker of hopes for a play off place
ROTHERHAM v Charlton - Home win
PLYMOUTH v Burton - Home win
Wimbledon v MK DONS - Away win
Thank you so much everyone. There were plenty of suggestions that were soooo close to being chosen. I really hope that doesn't come back and bite me on the rear area

I, well perhaps my daughter is well used to away fans and all that comes with it but perhaps in our ignorance just didn’t expect it form Norwich. Perhaps it’s because we support them and it’s harder to when you have fun’s in our shirts abusing her.
I believe the police are involved and have access to the CCTV.In truth the level which she received was above what she has received from almost all the other visiting clubs this season and last year also so quite a spread of clubs .
I know things happen , I know we are all upset at the performances this season but just maybe this can just remind people that it’s just a game and should be treated as such.
thanks again for all the kind words.
What happened was disgusting, but, if it happens on a regular basis, is there not scope for her, and her fellow members of staff, to request some form of protection , by having Stewards positioned to step in and say something?
She and her colleagues should not expect any level of abuse, when all they are trying to do is serve these morons. It shouldn't be seen to be accepted anywhere, let alone at a place of work

Tbf, they do have The Vine

Very sad to read, and he is such a young age. I remember Dixie very well, and has always been one of my favourite players. So sorry for him and his family
-
Very late to the party, but have been off grid.
I'd go for a Chelsea win please?
All the very best of luck to the pickers
-
Can I also pick Rotherham to win please
Fingers crossed for you GMF
I'm good for 9th April Nutty, thank you

Forest Green to beat Bradford is my suggestion, and
Teemu to score anytime
All the best Diesel and Tilly
-
Following on from this
he (Davis) is playing for Forest tonight, and doing very well and is the proverbial handful.
A different type of CF to Teemu, as he is a bit of a unit, so may be more effective if he were to lose a bit of timber (he ain't fat, obviously)
-
Put your pens away.
We'll win 3-0
You heard it here first.........
