Archie 0 Posted January 26, 2004 Maybe it is me being too old fashioned (even though i''m only 16!!!!), but i feel the change is really sad. i''d agree with doncaster that the ''Football League Championship'' is unlikely to bring in extra revenue than ''Division 1.'' An institution since 1888 should not just be modernised for the sake of it. Personally i think it will give the league a tacky look.A change to the play off system is also suggested. Ignoring this season when everything is so tight, the season is over for 12 of the 24 clubs by Februrary if we did not have the play offs. I think the current system is just right, even if the 6th placed club gets promoted with 15 points fewer than the third - we all know the situation at the beginning of the season Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
