Has the World Cup extended our "hangover"?

Probably a vastly over-simplified point, but I''m not sure I''ve seen it mentioned else where. Do you think that the lack of movement in the transfer window due to the World Cup has hindered our progress as a squad?

The reason I say this is that I think it''s clear we need a "fresh start" after the last 18 months. There are obviously players who are unsettled and don''t want to be here, so do you think that because the World Cup has slowed down the transfer window in general it has meant that we have not been able to move them on as we would have liked?

At the moment it feels like there''s a lot of negativity hanging around the supporters AND the players, so maybe the fact want-away players have not been moved on yet has impacted our start to the season?

It hasn''t stopped the likes of Fulham and Cardiff getting rid of all their players for worse ones, so basically i don''t think so, everyones in the same boat.
