Need for cool heads?

Recommended Posts

We lost an away match 3-2. Again we were competitive (the defensive mistake for the second goal was a bit of a confidence blow) and we''re 9th in the table.

A time to take stock maybe but things aren''t that bad are they?

The team are learning quickly but the pressure is tough.

Two weeks break, a chance to regroup, sort out defence issues.

Go again and give Arsenal a fright then QPR next. both games are winnable.

The reasons are there to be optimistic. What is it to be? Keep calm and carry on or panic and get on players backs?

No one is saying things are that bad.

There isn''t any panic, panic would involve a lot more suggestion that all our players are rubbish, Lambert needs to be sacked etc.

A few mentions of Barnett/other defenders being poor/making mistakes. A couple of people thinking Holt is rubbish, someone saying Hoolahan put in no effort yesterday, is by no means panic.

You can''t prevent people moaning, although when people start moaning etc, people then have to start moaning at them, me included and thats essentially (without really moaning) what your doing here.

Most Norwich fans are going to be more than happy with our season overall, and our current position. But that doesn''t mean everything is going great. Obviously it could be a lot lot worse, but there are areas that can and should be improved, and people want to see that improvement... I bet there are even some Barca fans that moan about stuff, its just a human trait, and even when things are going really well, we still find things to complain about....

The team needs tweaking, that''s all and we need to sharpen up our defence.

ie  stop passing back to the goalie when we can hoof it into touch or up into the oppositions half. Also defend better from low crosses into the 6 yard area. I wouldn''t make wholesale changes, but would give De Lait another chance instead of either Martin or Barnett and I would also give Bennett a rest.
