Boyo 0 Posted March 12, 2008 Despite what you lot think I think we played quite well last night. Much better than Coventry. We attacked well in the first 20 mins and for the rest of the half we dominated. In the second half Stoke came out as the much better team and you could tell they wanted something from this game. In the end they scored and it was not a very good goal to conceed. Very poor defending, you should be able to deal with a long throw easily and there shouldnt be any danger. Although the defending was bad and it should of been cleared away I blame Marshall for the goal, because he was about to come and meet the ball, then he stopped and the ball flew over his head. And that is bad goal keeping because you either come for the cross or you dont, simple as. After their goal we pushed on a bit and we should of put some of those chances away, especially the Cureton sitter at the end. All in all we should of got atleast a point from game, but we didnt, thats life, and I am very dissapointed. But there are still positives to take from the game like: We attacked well, we hit them on the brake well and we defended well apart from there goal. But there are also negatives like: Finishing was poor, no aggresion in the midfield, poor defending set pieces and losing the flow in the final third. So despite the result a better perfromance than Coventry and I think there is a win on the cards against Sheff United.
