The Future, The Board and Finance

Recommended Posts

Having read the posts from the usual whingers who only want to sack the board and expect a another fairy godmother to appear I have a few observations as one who has attended Carrow Road for over 40 years.

The Board appointed Peter Grant and at last years AGM he talked a good game and we all were quite happy. Sadly It didnt work out but the Board got rid of him quickly-Thats good management.

I used to try and buy a plastic beaker of tea from behind the Barclay 20 years ago look how it has changed with the catering and facilities as now (it hasnt changed at a lot of places we visit) and the crowd has gone up to 200000+ Thats Good management.

Dehlia and Michael have brought in the Turners and their money- That must be a good move because whatever !st Wizard, Smudger, Cluck et al say they probably do not have the financial resources to put serious money where their mouths are. However, I respect the right to question and I have one.-I presume that the  moaners have read the Clubs Accounts and may have noticed an item concerning infra structure costs-to serve what? A development that has received planning permission on land owned by another company wholly owned by NCFC. This is not commented upon in the accounts but we have heard of the £7.5m Black Hole What about this possible Golden Ark  -Find out from Norwich  City Council what this planning permission is for and do the sums no of units times plot value and you might come to a figure much greater than £7.5m Will this asset be realised to propel the club into the Premiership or could it enhance present shareholders equity value. Something to mention at the AGM to divert attention over a new Manager!

The land behind the ground is being redeveloped into flats - with bars, cafes and the usual parking and landscaping. It''s all going on at the moment, can see the cranes from where I am now! It all came up in my house search!! However there are big problems re the floodplain consideration. They are also building more flats behind the River End too.

How much the club paid for it, who knows? How much profit they will make? Plenty.
