E I E I E I O 0 Posted August 22, 2006 Hello again everyone, back from the out of season times. Went to the World Cup and had a great time bar watching England Play!Well Having been to most of the games this season, including Derby away saturday. I thought I would raise a discussion on where the money is most needed in order to strengthen the team. I feel from watching the games, that we desperately need to strengthen in 2 areas. The first area is that of central midfield, I am a bit worried to see Robinson as our most attacking midfield player as he is lacking in creative ideas. I feel that Safri and Etuhu have seriously stepped up to the mark this season, controlling games. However we are lacking a Koumas style player to create that one opportunity to win the games like Derby away when we are in possesion of the ball. I would like to see robinson used as a back up for Safri and Etuhu when required and played in the more difficult away ties where a point would be a good result. This will allow us to open up more games whilst in control and give Earnie more 1 on 1 situations than at present. The second area is clearly that of a target man, we have 2 great players on the flanks now and yet nobody in the middle to get on the end of it. This was quite clear at Derby on saturday when a Target man would have been a handy player during the last 30 Mins at least. This was made obvious when Croft provided a great cross, Earnshaw knowing that he was never going to compete with the defender decided to just shove him in the back (blatantly) in order to get a free header (which he put miles wide) Croft and Hucks are getting in some great crossing positions but can see half the time there is no target. Maybe the answer to this could be a Tim Cahill style midfielder instead of a playmaker to make late surges in to the box for hucks and croft to spot? Finally if the coffers allow I would like to see a Centre back come in, this is vital in my eyes. If either Shacks or Doc are injured we will be in serious trouble. Fleming as good a servant as he has been!! is not up to playing in this division anymore and is a handy squad player only. I feel that this is a position that Worthy will look to cover with a Loanee should the situation arise.Well thats my opinion what about you? Finally is''nt it great to see entertaining football back at Carrow Road and Come on you Yellows!!!! We may even sing the managers name soon?
