Now we know,  the full sell-on fee in the Ashton case was 30% of any gain, that is 20% to Crewe and 10% to the player. Before we rush to condemn him, others assure us that this is "fairly" normal. Thank goodness it will not apply to Greeno if he goes!We have nobody else where it is likely to apply, except perhaps Hux or the Doc, - all the others have been transfer fees less than half a million.But if Jerome needs a sweetener to come, and Cardiff want to gain three and a half million, it could put the price up a bit! It does rather take the shine off transfer receipts!
