1.
Jimbo "No Mr Vanwink, why should we just drop our beliefs because you say so? Hughton still out." Sounds like you''re on some sort of religious crusade there Jimbo, your beliefs are your own affaire mate. My comment was more about the fact that we are 12 th in the EPL!
If we win the next two games I may relax a little but we''ve seen this all before haven''t we?

  2.
Jimbo, You are entitled to your opinion of course, but I''ll ask this one question. Is there any reason, apart from you not liking the style of football, that you want Hughton out?
No Mr Beefy, just the boring defence obsessed football thats all.

  3.
Beefy is a legend wrote the following post at 18/01/2014 8:37 PM: If you remain an ''outer'' I think you need to consider the reasons why you have that point of view. If it is purely based on ''style of football'', I think you have to accept that the Club needs to be more pragmatic than to sack a manager purely because the style is not to fans'' liking. It''s a very dangerous game to play because changing the manager can have a massive destabilising effect. Look at how Cardiff have fared since Malky left - bottom of the league! Of all the Clubs that have changed manager, who has really improved? Most have gone backwards in my estimation. We are in a solid position, there is no reason why the manager should be sacked that the board should realistically consider. Absolutely right, a line should now be drawn under the Hughton out saga and we should move on. Did amuse me when I drove down prince of Wales r
Hughton still out.

  4.
There is now effectively no chance (if there ever was) of Hughton being sacked before the end of the season. And if we stay up, which is more likely than not, he will be kept on.

The first because the statistics now have have us finishing on 40 points. That would be an under-performance compared with last season (hence the long-term doubts of posters such as myself about Hughton) but this season would represent a copper-bottomed guarantee of safety.

And given that our next game is only just before the transfer window shuts it is not possible for the board to ignore those stats and decline to give Hughton money for strengthening. That would be craven. The Newcastle and the Cardiff games might change those stats, and make relegation look more likely, but too late for the board to reconsider or hold fire. It has to go with backing the manager.

You can argue (I would) that Hughton has been lucky with the way the season has gone, with not one obvious sacking point, but then Napoleon supposedly wanted lucky generals. But then Napoleon was stupid enough to invade Russia...

The second because you cannot  as a board of directors - no matter what your misgivings - dump a Norwich City manager who has done his basic job by way of avoiding the drop to the Championship both seasons. And if we can beat Hull then we can get the three wins and a few draws we now need from the next 12 fixtures, 10 of which are winnable.

Forgive me for being thick here but is Hughton''s second season already over?

  5.

What worries me is that Delia has twice admitted on Telvision that she knows nothing at all about football.[:S]
And employs people who know more about it to make the decisions.

She is first and foremost, a fan.

Perhaps if a few of the fans here came to the same conclusion it would stop a lot of the confusion.

So are you saying that as joint majority shareholder her opinion carries no weight at board meetings?

Look how long Gunn clung on, she was enforcing an emotional decision on the club then in my opinion.

  6.
yes morty I agree but if it was as simple as A B C D ( which I know it isn''t ) hypothetically speaking which one ?
You have a good idea with this but may I suggest its not what this thread is about. You offer a multiple of choices, which is not as I orignally saw it.

Your idea should be a seperate thread, it deserves that attention.
Anyone who tries to punt the theory that 3 more points on the board is a bad thing, in some bigger picture, is deluded.

Their anti Hughton bias obviously addles their brain somehow.

With great respect Mr Morty I think you''re wrong, because others are playing the long game here ie. lose a little today but win big tomorrow.
To subscribe to the certainty that a new manager will come in, and immediately turn things around is plain naive.

The season is a finite thing, sacrificing points is never, ever going to be a good idea.
But its not the fans who kick the ball Mr M, they don''t sacrifice anything playing wise, its CH and his crew with their appalling tactics and substitutions who do that.

  9.
OP, you really are an ar**hole.
I''ve supported City for nigh on 46 years, attended more games, home and away, than you''ve had hot dinners.
The fact that I was made redundant 7 years ago and am still on 50% of the wage I was on then prevents me from affording a matchday ticket except on the very odd occasion.
I listen, read, support all things City as strongly now as I''ve always done, just these days technology allows me to view from home on some very good streams.
I still feel the pain watching City lose games as much as in 1968.

You Sir are a first class Twunt.( or 12 years of age).

    This.

There is only one thing this club needs right now. One, very simple thing. And that is, to WIN a game of football. That means the entire club, players staff and fans focussing only on that objective. Yes that is what Hughton said and in this case he''s right. There''s all sorts of sh(t flying around and distractions, none of which help. If you''re an outer it ought to be a win win situation for you because if we win, we move well up the table and level on points with Hull, if we lose Hughton is gone. Unless of course you don''t want another 3 points and to move up the table. Every win from here on in is going to be absolutely critical and 3 prescious points. The chances of 3 points being the difference between survival and relegation this season are VERY VERY HIGH. Anyone who wants us to loose on Saturday is wishing this situation upon us and needs to wake the f**k up.

And incidentally, the OP attemping to congratulate and thank people for saying they would rather we loose is utterly ridiculous.

"May I thank you and congratulate you for agreeing with me" Hilarious! It''s just an opinion - you don''t get congratulated for having an opinion one way or the other.
No Mr a1, I congratulated norfolkngood for having the balls to say what he did, I didn''t say I agreed with it.

  11.

3,800 responses. Must say even as a confirmed outer i''m quite staggered the result is that comprehensive.
85% of 3,800 fans who bothered to vote.   These kinds of votes are not truly representative as one side is more likely to vote than the other.  If a man in the street stood there asking people as they went past "Hootun in or Hootun out", the outers would say "out" most of the rest would just walk past ignoring him.    Same applies here.
