  1. @king, it’s really not worth arguing.

Funny you mention Burton though westcoast

Becuse if we only at home like you suggest every home game will be like the Burton home game where we have no idea what to do with the ball because the other team are just sitting back.

It’s amazing that the people on here that are arguing against you actually go to the home games and have witnessed the same thing over and over and over again this season.

How do you actually expect us to play at home to turn our form around? The way we play away from home? Because I can’t be bothered to argue why that won’t work when it’s already been said about a million times by multiple posters.

  2. Just forget about the away games for a second. As explained a million times in this thread the home team presses up the pitch allowing more space for us to play. At Carrow Road TEAMS DONT DO THIS. They sit back and allow us to have the ball.

What do you expect us to do at home? Play like we are away? Wait for the other team to press us? Because we can’t, because teams sit back and let us knock the ball sideways. Teams aren’t suddenly going to start pressing high up the pitch at Carrow Road.

The issue is we create so few clear chances at home, which leads to even fewer goals

  3. @Hoola, have to agree. If you agree with him its all very nice, but as soon as you say anything anti-club or anti-board its like the walls go up.

I''m not really sure the trust represents the fans, and I''m not sure what they have actually achieved - maybe somebody can enlighten us?

Is it any coincidence that the Trust appears to be very pro-board? If Sainty was critical of the board would this agreement have happened?

  4. I guess nobody really knows, as we also lose the parachute payments.

Making a bigger profit means we may be able to sell other players for a ''lesser amount'' (Naismith, Martin, McGovern, Wildschut etc) which then reduces the wage bill considerably.

On top of that we will then have any other transfer fees received, which could be considerable (Maddison, Klose), although the squad would then be extremely light so would need 8 or so players

  5. Agree, I''m satisfied in that we have brought in some ''options''. For the last few months we seem to have had little choices on the bench if things weren''t going our way at home, although it''s obviously a lottery how they turn out.

If Srbeny gets a fair few goals, and Hernandez gets a few goals/assists then it will have been a relatively successful window. If they look completely out of place then the window will be criticized.

Agree about Edwards, not really sure the point of the signing. It is clear he has attitude problems, both Pochettino and Farke have said so, and he has only played 6 minutes or so of senior football. Not exactly glowing for somebody so highly rated. I just hope we arent expected to play him for a minimum amount of games - didnt we have something similar under Roeder?

Also we just have to hope Pinto stays injury free. Its ok Reed doing the odd game here & there at right back, but would be a big ask if it is 4/5 games on the spin.

  6. I saw the Toffolo tweet and it did come across quite bitter, virtually everybody who commented on it thought the same. Does seem there may be a few that weren’t particularly happy with their situations which may explain why some have gone on a free.

As for today, looking at West Ham with concern. They were obviously linked with Maddison this week, struggling to get any deals across the line, huge injury issues and selling Ayew to Swansea. If any club launch a last ditch bid for Maddison it will probably be them. Are they desperate enough to put in a huge bid that we can’t turn down?

  7. Ha! Apologies Alex!

Re not having a choice if Nelson leaves, well of course we can stop him. But if he gets a call from his agent, who just happens to pretty much have full control at Wolves, saying that Wolves are interested in signing him and to hand in a transfer request, what is the point of fighting it?

  8. Re Oliveira, have to agree with Lincoln. Yeah he may not be in form, but in a Wolves style system where he gets chances put on a plate he would score a lot more.

Plus his agent is Mendes, who is in charge of transfers at Wolves? If Wolves decide they want a striker tomorrow it seems Oliveira would be an obvious choice & I dont think there is much we could do about it

  9. ''Pinto is our captain and guaranteed to play ever game, and he rarely suffers injuries''

Am I the only person that heard that and raised an eyebrow? I seem to remember Pinto missing a fair few games with injury, normally for extended periods as well?

Incredibly naive to not sign somebody because a player ''rarely gets injured''

  10. Are we expecting anything to happen tomorrow? And do we think the club is prepared if it does?

I have a horrible feeling that ''something'' will happen in terms of a transfer request or head turning bid for one of our starting 11. I can quite easily see Oliveira not being a Norwich player tomorrow night - weren''t Wolves looking for a striker earlier in the window?

I get that quite a lot of people wouldn''t be bothered if it happened, but that would leave Srbeny as the only recognized striker in the squad. Would we let Oliveria go and have somebody lined up? Marriott maybe?

  11. I would go with basically the same team, but make an ever-so-slight tactical change...

    Gunn

    Hanley Zimmermann Klose

    Pinto Tettey Vrancic Lewis

    Maddison

    Murphy Oliveira

The thinking is with 2 ''strikers'' we can pull the defense apart a bit more. The defender that sicks with Murphy should leave space for Maddison to exploit, should they stick to Maddison then that should allow Murphy more space to run in to. Playing Vrancic will allow us to play the ball for Murphy to run on to.
