  1. We seem to have an identity crisis. At one moment we are little old Norwich, the next we think a man who has international experience and has done well at similar sized PL clubs isn''t good enough for us. Whilst Roy is getting on a bit and for some might not play sexy football he can organise a defence and get results. He''s not the first England manager to fail in major tournaments. Wolf would welcome him with both claws. As a short term option he seems like a good choice to me. We could do much worse.

  2. So Phil,

You don''t have a problem with any of this?

So you think the manager needs more time, like Moxey suggests? Most supporters feel he''s had more than enough time. How many managers who have experienced such a downturn actually turn it around? Our Alex is not Sir Alex. Is he really listening to what supporters are saying? I would suggest there is a difference between listening and hearing. The one thing I would agree with is that the issues go well beyond the manager and are complex, but we have good players not performing well, and a defence that looks unorganized and at times shambolic. Surely the manager takes responsibility for that? And as an aside, what on earth are we doing appointing Irvine? That''s an example of the poor decisions that have been made over the past few months. It would be great if Moxey sorts things out, but he doesn''t exactly come with a great track record.

  3. Come Derby, Delia, Moxey, and AN will all ''get it'' and it''s not going to be pretty. I understand we are not always going to be winning or getting promoted but the performances of players, owner, manager etc are rightly going to be scrutinised after such a desperate run, where I can''t think of other clubs that would have let this continue without taking action.

  4. So most folks on here thought Moxey was the wrong appointment. He just proved a lot of people right. We may well still be aiming for promotion...but the chances diminish by the week. Deluded and spineless. Bloody grow a pair and do what is right for the club and make a change before it''s too late. Earn your money poxy Moxey.

  5. A score draw followed by AN saying how we were unlucky, then getting another vote of confidence from the cook. Then on to CR and a very hostile atmosphere. Another draw and so it continues until with four games of the season left, after being well outside the play off places he is finally sacked and Neil Adams is brought in as caretaker boss, then we scour Europe but reappoint Mr Adams as the cheap option. That''s my prediction.

  6. Swansea made a big mistake in appointing him, but they have acted quickly when it was obviously not going to work out. They may well still go down but they are giving themselves a chance. Contrast that with our board. No guarantee replacing AN will get us into the playoffs, but when there is nothing to lose you might as well roll the dice. We are going nowhere with AN (apart from down the table) so surely...even our board...come on Moxey FFS.

  7. If the club sticks with AN for more than the next 3/4 games then the season is most likely a write-off. If we make a (positive) change soon the playoffs are quite possible. Personally I think the players we already have are good enough to make the playoffs. They need a steadying hand and organisation to get the best out of them.

  8. I didn''t say he played a good brand of football with us...far from it. But his current team play in a completely different style now. I think he is a better manager today. He might easily be a PL manager again next season. That''s exactly why I would keep faith in AN. Some people do learn from their mistakes. I would like AN to learn and for us to benefit not another team.

  9. Our former manager has done a fantastic job of building a team that has a realistic chance of replacing us next season. His team have also been quite attacking and scored a good few goals to show he can set teams up effectively to play a different brand to what we saw at the end of his CR days. He did a good job for us for a while. If he had stayed it makes me wonder if he would have got us straight back up. Nevertheless, good luck to him...I think everyone agreed he was one of the nice guys in football.

  10. In response to the OP my answer is (1) for now.

He deserves the benefit of the doubt for now (he guided us to promotion - not single-handed like some may suggest) but we should be seriously re-evaluating after around 10 games next season (if in the chumps) I would hope the board wouldn''t be waiting until Christmas if things were not looking good. We can''t go on with this young manager / inexperience tag for too much longer. It''s a results business. I would stick with him if relegated but like a few on here I have my concerns about some of his decision-making. If he did get us back up, would anyone consider taking the Watford approach - change manager to one more suited to the Prem?
