  1. http://www.nottinghampost.com/nottingham-forest-target-7-million-euro-striker/story-29501857-detail/story.html?

Here''s a link which is a report on the striker who would replace Britt if he left. As much as I wouldn''t be surprised that this is ''1+1=3'', it would be easier for NFFC to come out and say that they aren''t selling, which they haven''t. I am optimistic that this is the case, reading the comments from forest fans, it''s clear they aren''t over the moon about this potential business.

  2. This isn''t another James Vaughn, Britt doesn''t have an injury record, in fact 2015 seems to be his only major injury and has since got back into the Forrest team and scored. To be honest he is the striker which I would''ve chosen to buy this summer but I never imagined we would actually go for him, personally I would be delighted if we signed him.

Statistically the three seasons Vardy had before this one, year 12/13 he scored 4. Year 13/14 he scored 16 and his debut season in the PL he scored 5 in 34 appearances. Two of those three seasons were pretty shocking considering the amount of appearances he had. I would''ve been easy after one season to assume that Vardy isn''t cut out for the PL after proving himself a pretty average striker in the Championship. You have a great point though, I''m sure there are some strikers but none come to mind straight away so I definitely see where you''re coming from. It is impossible to be right 100% of the time in football especially, but I''m not sitting on the fence, I just believe RVW would be a good option for us in the Championship not assuming he would be our first choice striker.

It is really not hard to understand the arguments for people saying he has no future at the club, the reasons are obvious. To be fair though he had a reputation of being a good finisher his whole career, before moving to Norwich and even now he''s still sparking debate. I''m just one of those who just believes in him, though based on evidence in the last few seasons I understand that must come across foolish. I really don''t care if you judge me for holding that opinion, I think he could do a job for us next season and you would be one of the first to cheer if he scores goals for us. At the same time though I would not begrudge the club for selling or loaning him, because statistics are not in his favor. Though if you''re going down that road, you would''ve never predicted Vardy''s and Leicesters success based on their stats either.

  5. I would be happy with a front 3 including Jerome and RVW as long as we invest in one more prolific striker who has also been proven at this level. Under Hughton everyone knew our style of play didn''t suit him, none of our strikers did well the season we got relegated and you can say that for most 95%of the squad. I like Ricky as a person, he seems like a humble and honest character who has been lacking confidence and an ego in front of goal. I would love him to get his confidence back, we all know Ricky is a good finisher and I believe he would get goals in the Championship with our style of play.

I understand his last couple of loan spells have been relatively unsuccessful, but he''s played in 3 different cities and leagues in 3 years. It would be hard for anyone to settle with a life style like that and I hope Norwich can be the place for him to settle down and get his confidence back. Some may call me a hopeless romantic, but I want every Norwich player to succeed and as personalities and mentalities go I think RVW and Laffs are very different.

  6. Although I rate him as a player, I wouldn''t be too disappointed if we miss out and get Sergi Ramos. I would be happy with Jarvis, Canos, Naismith, Hoolahan, Olsson, Pinto and the Murphy twins, as they are all capable in the wide areas of the pitch. I would prefer our scouting team to focus our attention on a prolific stricker and a solid centre back.

  7. I agree Morty, if we stayed up our club situation would obviously be much different, but I quite like the idea of trying to build a youthful team mixed with a balance of experience, quality and one which can improve in the PL. I''m not gutted Brady and Redmond even though they are exciting young players and I wish them all the best. I agree that keeping Klose is going to make the difference, we''ve been screaming out for someone like him for 3 seasons and we finally have our man and I would be very sad if we lost him. Let''s just hope he can stay fit!

  8. I agree, based on and experience he wouldn''t walk into any PL side, however Delli Alli is proof that there is quality in the lower leagues and some clubs might be willing to take a risk. Difference is, Delli Alli had played in league1 88 times and Aaron Tshibola has had 40 appearances with half of them being in league 2. I understand they both play in different positions but Delli Alli proves that an extra season learning your trade (and being able to stay injury free) can really make the difference when developing your game. We also have a squad with some Premier League quality which he can learn from too. I genuinely believe he is better off with us for those reasons.

  9. Nick Powell from Man Utd doesn''t seem like a bad option having played at every England level apart from the first team and also has experience in the lower leagues/Championship and at a decent age of 22. However our midfield is arguably our most strongest area. Sessegnon on his day can produce a bit of magic, perhaps in the Championship he could do well but his lack of consistency seems to have hampered his career somewhat in the PL abd at the age of 32 time isn''t on his side. Stephen Fletcher has been missing the last couple of seasons, but again could maybe do a decent job in the Championship. There aren''t any players on that list though which I would get really excited about if we signed, but there are also a few where I wouldn''t be too disappointed.

  10. I personally think England could do with a decent player on the flanks, Walcott, Townsend and Sterling are hardly setting the world alight atm and perhaps a couple more seasons under an experienced manager and decent players, Nathan can play for England.

He only scored 6 goals for us last time we were in the Championship and I think we could find those 6 goals if we we are given a half decent percentage of the transfer fee to invest in the first team squad, which I''m sure will happen if we would let one of our first team players leave.
