I can only assume it''s because in the Championship anyone can beat anyone, and managers know it, so they have no reason to fear us. Whereas in the Premiership, going to places like Chelsea or Arsenal were pretty much foregone conclusions under Hughton. -
Back training with former club Colchester. I imagine it''s likely he''ll sign as the club have been posting about it on the official twitter page so must be pretty confident. Best of luck to him. Surely he could''ve found a better club though? -
Great read. Completely agree on our comparison to Leicester. Look at Hughton''s first season at NCFC for example. It was a pretty boring season, where we were only 1 defeat to West Brom away from being relegated. But all i remember is that looping Pilkington header over De Gea -
Whittaker is nowhere near good enough. He''s decent going forward, but can''t afford to have players like him in our back 4 if we''re going to play so attacking minded. -
I don''t think we''ll be seeing McGrandles anywhere near the first team any time soon...Vadis, on the other hand, looks like a decent player from what I''ve seen. -
Are you all forgetting that all their best players are injured? Even with the likes of Ings and Vokes their chances of staying up are small, but nowhere near the worst team in Prem history -

First of all, i''m not doubting his quality or ability. Although he''s struggled lately, he started the season as one of our best players.But whenever things don''t go our way he looks like a constant threat of elbowing someone in the face or two-footing someone. Surely when you''re a goal down, the last thing you need is a player who could reduce us to 10 men which usually means game over. Or do you just seem him as a player with a lot of passion who, like every NCFC player should, hate losing a game regardless of the opposition? I can''t decide -
With the size of our squad it would be unfair on the players not to even give them a chance. No one would moan about a ''weakened'' squad if we won 5-0. How do you expect the fringe players to prove themselves? -
Easily enough quality to cruise past Shrewsbury, but it''ll come down to work rate and desire. Hopefully our fringe players like E. Bennett will want to take their chance to impress -

Not really a surprise that we''re struggling in a league of 11 of the best and richest teams in the Premier league...and then us. But at least our future talents are being tested against the best of the best at U21 level -
