1.
A plastic is someone who is not from Norwich, or has moved away, and pretends to "support" the club. They usually secretly prefer rugger. The OP is a prime example.
This kind of statement is beyond stupid. You''re embracing the imbread cousin fcuking webbed toed stereotype well with that one. So just what of you clarify as being from Norwich? Inner ring road, outer ring road, NR postcode? Do you have to have been born at the old Norfolk and Norwich as the new one is too far out of the city? Please enlighten us with your superior thinking!

  2. To me a Plastic is nothing more or less than a glory hunter. A fan who supports a team because of their status as a top team and for no other reason. To me it''s not about how many games you attend, if you are a season ticket holder, where you live, how many replica shirts you have. As long as you have genuine passion for your team and will follow them through good and bad times then that''s good enough for me.

There are some retarded individuals on this board who believe being a plastic is more about when and how you support rather than why you support. These elitist scumbags are simply jealous that other people could possibly share the same passion as them.

  3. There have been some absolute grade A bellends this season for sure.

Waveney/Thorpe/simple Jack gets my vote for sheer stupidness followed by that utter fucktard who started cocogate.

It''ll soon be the end of season break / school holidays so I expect a fresh crop to appear soon

  4. In terms of potential v end result this has to be pretty much one of the poorest seasons City have had, certainly in the last 10 years or so?

Ok we''ve not dropped into the third tier like 2009 but in 2009 we didn''t have our most expensive ever squad or were debt free. Seasons under Worthington, Grant and Roeder were bad but I argue that there was not the potential of this year.

For me, the potential of this year was massive. Following our 11th place finish and summer purchases I felt our Premiership survival was pretty much guaranteed. Before you start I know we are not down yet but does anyone really expect us to beat Chelsea and Arsenal based on our season so far?

  5. It''s abundantly clear that we don''t currently have the team who are capable of winning away at Chelsea. Whichever way you look at it, it just won''t happen. If we get 3 points I will, without fail run naked around the market square whooping with delight.

As much as I hate to say it our only hope will be to play for the point and then pray for some miracle that the shower of shit that turned up to Old Trafford on yesterday are transformed into the team they are on paper.

  6. I love City but I would go for the England Win. I know for a fact that Norwich will soon be back in the Premiership but an England win is unlikely to ever happen to if it were an either / or decision I would go for the world cup win.

Every World and Euro I get my hopes up that we could just pull it off. However in reality England are a shite football team who will be lucky to get out of the group stage.

  7.
We''ve done Liverpool, the ones doing better than expected. Now we have Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal.

Without discussing our virtues, look at them.

Chelsea we expected to be fighting for the title as they are, what we didn''t expect, Cech and Terry injured, none of their strikers doing well and recently giving away their home record. Not to mention the fact they might throw the title away before we play them and therefore not really have much to play for.

Man U - team we expected to drop maybe a bit after they won the title and SAF left, but not this much and notably not at home either. While this weekends events might give the players a kick up the bum they need, it might just have the opposite effect like Man City last year and they start thinking about getting their towels on loungers early in Brazil.

Arsenal - We expected them to build on consistent seasons in the top 4 after they spent £40m on Ozil. The fact is they haven''t, hopefully they can sort their race for 4th either way by then and they will then be focussed on the FA cup as they don''t want that trophyless streak to go any longer.

I know we still have to beat them and it''s a big ask given our current form etc but perhaps we''re overestimating the task ahead of us?
Adding to this Chelsea may well have one eye on a European final by the time we play them so will be resting key players and not wanting injuries either.

Man Utd will be fresh from losing Moyes and how effective will Giggs actually be? Sure he''ll have the backing of the players but his first game in change won''t be easy.

The fat lady hasn''t sung yet. It''s going to be very tough to remain in the Premiership I agree but i''m not writing us off completely yet. I''m more confident that I would be had we Hughton still in charge.

I guess if you look at it like we have nothing to lose by going at it 110% where as Liverpool have everything to potentially lose, then it''s not a nailed on thrashing.
I don''t follow this line of thought.    We have just as much to lose as L''pool, if not more.   Surely it is more important to us what Norwich want to achieve than what L''pool want to do?    Make no mistake the pressure will be the same for both teams, for different reasons. That is what could make this game more level than form would suggest.   Prepare for battle!
So you don''t think we should give it 110% on Sunday then? Perhaps the cautious scrap it out for a draw approach? That''s served us so well so far hasn''t it?

My point was that we have no option but to go at it 110% on Sunday where as Liverpool may hold back because of the Chelsea game.

  9. I can actually see the logic in this. I guess it depends on how far forward Liverpool are thinking. Do they already have one eye on the Chelsea game knowing that it is essentially the title decider? In which case do they play a full strength team against us or rest players and guarantee a full strength line up against Chelsea. Would they be worried about a Suarez red card and put him on the bench?

On Saturday Gerrard gave it the old one game at a time line but I can''t believe that they are not already planning their team and strategy for Chelsea.

I guess if you look at it like we have nothing to lose by going at it 110% where as Liverpool have everything to potentially lose, then it''s not a nailed on thrashing.

  10. Yes, particularly as we''ve had every opportunity to remain in the Premiership. Starting off the back of an 11th place finish with our most expensive squad ever there''s no reason why we shouldn''t have been safe by now.

I don''t know about you but I would much rather watch Citeh, Man U, Liverpool at Carrow road than Brentford, Huddersfield and Watford.

  11. Head - yes

    Heart - no

I just can''t see us getting anything much from the last four games. The problem we have is that we cannot score and to get anything from these games we are going to have to score. Sitting back and defending for a point will not be an option.

The Liverpool and Arsenal games at home will be massive and our best chance. It''s a shame we''ve got Liverpool first because although we''ll be up for it Suarez as usual will ruin us.

The thing is, anything can happen.   Redmond might be inspired by playing Liverpool and produce one of his best performances.   He has the potential - we all know that.    We  have showed against several clubs this season that on our day we are a match for anyone - and there is still the possibility of Liverpool getting vertigo.    Not trying to get people''s hopes up, but it isn''t over until its over - and we still are better placed in the league than the bottom three.   The Adams effect at his first home game in charge will make for a better atmosphere from the word go next week too.   There is still plenty of  football to go yet this season - the roller coaster hasn''t finished its journey yet...........

""We have showed against several clubs this season that on our day we are a match for anyone""

Erm just which clubs were these??? We''ve not played anyone off the park this season. Possibly Spurs but you are clutching at straws with that statement.
I didn''t say we played anyone off the park - I said we were a match for anyone - ie equal. If you don''t remember the matches where we gave as good as we got, I think that just goes to show how blinkered people have been about Hughton.  Southampton at homeStoke away.Villa at home (should have won)Chelsea we were very much in the matchCardiff home we were all over themWest Ham home, proved mentally strongSunderland awayManU at homeHull at homeCardiff awayWest Ham awayMan City at homeTottenham at homeSunderland at homeAdmittedly we did not get points from all those games - and we got points elsewhere when we weren''t so good, but to say we haven''t matched other teams - including those at the top is wrong.  There are eleven different teams in that list and some very good performances from our team.
I would argue that you are the one with the blinkered view. Just look at the table it''s not representative of "on our day we are a match for anyone" Can you honestly say that we''ve given as good as got?

Playing well equates for absolutely nothing if we don''t get the points at the end of the day.

I agree with you that in the next four games anything can happen but based on our form this season and the teams we are playing it''s going to take a complete transformation by the team to achieve the 36 points I believe we will need to survive
