1.
Amazing what a player can do when you let him play. Hughton and Adams have a lot to answer for.

    God I am depressed
He was playing well in the first half of the season then seemed to lose interest. Can''t blame Adams for that.

  2.
I just want us to see the gamble out until the bitter end. Give him his chance at redemption in the championship with a new philosiphy and see if he can turn it round.
That''s like cheering on a horse as it trots along in last place in the Grand National, or keeping hold of some shares as the price declines towards zero, or going all-in on a nothing hand in a game of Poker. We''ve had a whole season to see what a failure the signing was, so no need for more gambling. Just accept the loss and move on.

  3. He played for Holland in two friendly matches and scored some goals at club level against extremely weak defences and poor goalkeepers. Yes, CH didn''t help our strikers but neither Holt nor Hooper flopped as catastrophically as RVW. But keeping pressing replay on those old youtube videos if you want to keep deluding yourselves.

What''s that horrible green block as you look at the bottom right of Snoddy''s shirt? I hope it''s not part of the design of the shirt. Why can''t they just keep it yellow with a bit of green on the collar and sleeves ffs.
Anyway, all this is controlled by the marketing department who have no idea who will be here next season so we can''t read anything into it.

thats what being one of the most succesful managers in the modern game with a 66% win Ratio for England gets you...

He could''ve gone straight back into managing a top club but chose to manage Russia instead.

Me too.  Could be a revelation after a break, coming to the new season with something to prove, an attacking manager and a reputation to restore.  I will think less of him if he cuts and runs - imo the best thing he could for himself, his self-esteem and confidence is stay and show everyone what he can do - and he is still technically an excellent finisher.

''Just to see'', ''could be'' - have a look at our August fixtures, there''s no time for these ''what if'' fantasies. We need to be playing proven Championship goalscorers from the first match and out of Grabban, Hooper, Becchio and RVW, RVW is the only one who doesn''t fit that description.

  7.
The runup to that is pretty kind though, hopefully we can take enough points in April to secure promotion and then give some youngsters a runout in a dead-rubber game against Fulham.
Sadly promotion is not going to be that easy.

  8.
wouldn''t surprise me if the refs have had a directive from blatter to get brazil going and get the nation onside so they don''t have the embarrassment of a country in dissent in the background. I don''t think that was a mistake by the ref i think he was given his orders at half time [:@]
Sets the tone of things to come - corrupt officials employed by a corrupt organisation.

  9.

"littleyellowbirdie""Herman "So why does Becchio deserve a second chance, while RVW should be thrown out? Second chance? When was his first one? Did I blink when that happened? Fair point. Personally I would keep them both. Give them a chance to prove that they are capable.
How many games would you give RVW to prove himself in the Championship? We waited an entire season for him to prove himself and all he gave us was crap like this:

We need to be scoring goals and winning games from the start to give us a chance of promotion. We now have 3 proven Championship strikers. Why should we give RVW another chance to screw things up?
Why are you only blaming RVW for last season? Yes, it was awful, but he wasn''t the only culprit. The constant scapegoating of one individual stinks.

Anyway, unless someone comes in with a stupid offer for him, (yeah right), I would keep as long as possible.
I''m not only blaming him but we''re talking about Becchio''s future and I think he has more to offer us in the Championship than RVW. If we want to get straight back up to the PL we can''t afford to take the gamble that RVW will come good in the end. One season of total failure is enough. Move him on.

  10.

Well seeing as though Gutierrez thinks Adams is an awful manager, I doubt he would want to come here, or Adams would want him back
The tweet was nothing to do with Adams. It was regarding a team back in Argentina.
What utter garbage. Why would he have tweeted that in English instead of Spanish? His rant against an inexperienced manager was obviously against Adams.
