  1. im sorry but libbra, easton and rivers were very good acquisitions by worthy. if you consider that at the time we were a club linked more often with relegation than promotion worthy did well to get in who he did at that time. arguably, we have moved on a notch since then, but the previous season we had been playing people like derveld.

  2. when did a city player last get into an england squad? i think darren eadie, chris sutton and ian crook all played england b internationals but apart from that who has there been? wouldnt it be great to see hucks have a blinder of a 1st prem season and come into the reckoning from the wilderness a la beattie, phillips or ricketts

  3. its not a kick in the teeth because worthy is simply pointing out that if you are going to do a 6 - 1.30 trip you might as well watch a win. if the fans actions are putting this in jeopardy by demoralising the team it is only common courtesy that nw should let us know. he sees things from the most important viewpoint and if he identifies something which can be changed to imrove the teams performance i would be disappointed if he didnt bring it to attention

  4. its funny you should mention that suie because i had a funny dream last night as well. i was watching a bear-baiting event with delia and malky when suddenly i realised one of the bears was joe royle, so i mentioned this to delia, who subsequently threw an emmanuel petit-shaped carp at him. it hit him on the nose and he ws sparked into a terrible rage, and came spitting and snarling over to us. ''did you throw that emmanuel petit-shaped carp at me?'' he bellowed ferociously, before mauling malky with a tent peg. myself and delia headed for the exit, but it was guarded by sea-lions who both bore an uncanny resemblence to elvis hammond. they were no match for delia, however, who gouged out their eyes with a quill pen. then a giant sow landed upon the bear-baiting barn and i was sure i heard the distinctive voice of fernando derveld humming the gambian national anthem. but before i could make up my mind i woke up. i was standing in the middle of portman road with a pomegranate attached to my nose. so i caught the 1st train home. the pomegranates still attached though. ive been far too buyto take it off.

  5. gillespie - over my dead body
harper - we''d have to buy him. were not allowed to take him on loan again this season
bentley - i think hes leftfooted, and is anyway getting onto the gunners bench
warne - rotherham will want him for their relegation battle.

what abut chris eagles at man u? hes tipped as beckhams longterm replacement. he might be loaned out already though, and is arguably far too young, but i or one wouldnt complain. if were going to play a youngster on the right we might as well play an orthodox winger. what does everyone else think?

  6. i certainly dont want him to play. it would disrupt the team unnecessarily and make no tactical sense whatsoever. i''m sure leon isnt going to get disheartened. its not like hes being ignored or anything, he just doesnt fit into our formation at this moment in time. dropping huckerby, putting a striker on the wing, playing an unfamiliar 443 or playing two very similar players upfront are ridiculous suggestions and people should show a little more common sense.

  7. i was just coming onto the message board to write exactly the same diatribe!
its not just ipswich though. west brom, sheff utd and west ham have all done the same. moaned and moaned that they have better quality players and dont win as many games as us. GET OVER IT!!! they all just lack the solidarity and team spirit that norfolk has in abundunce at the moment. i hope norwich, wigan and sunderland get promoted this season. theyre the only teams out of the real contenders for promotion this season who have proper, respectable managers who dont whinge and who instil proper team ethics into their players rather than teaching them to fight, moan and cheat. i hope royle, pardew, warnock and megson all lose their jobs after having a nottingham forest-style season in 2004-2005.
    grrrr....
