1. Bleh. What a dull, uninspiring choice. What has he actually achieved as a manager? He came in to Swansea riding on the coattails of Laudrup, and changed their unique, tika-taka style of football to bog-standard lower team football which ultimately got him sacked.

Again, started strong at Leeds before the end of season collapse.

The guy''s dull and, sorry to say, a bit thick with about as much charisma as a dry roasted peanut.

    Surely there''s someone better?

  2. I''ll go with a team that''s proven to score bucket-loads against the top teams..

    Ruddy

    Pinto Martin Klose Dijks

    Tettey Howson

    Jacob M Pritchard Hoolahan

    Oliveira

This BS about needing a major clearout.. gimme a break! We have a great team who can clearly beat any opposition on their day. There''s obviously something wrong with their attitude and their tendency to capitulate when things don''t go their way. Get in a decent manager who can motivate and the same team will will the league next season.

  3. Until we beat Ipswich. Then it''s Neil In!.. and then out.. and then in.. ad infinitum.

How about we stop over-reacting to every bloody result and just see where we end up at the end of the season? He''s not going anywhere anyway so you''re just shouting in to an empty room.

  4.
Norfolk is awesome, it is genuinely one of the nicest places in the country to live but a certain type of foootballer clearly looks at this as a backwater

But for a guy in this early twenties on 30k a week maybe "gorn up thu citee" isn''t enough

    It''s a sad fact
I don''t buy this view at all.

London is an hour 50 on the train. I live in Crystal Palace and my commute every morning isn''t far off this! I agree that most kids would rather live in London, but surely Norwich is a darn sight closer to the capital than a lot of other clubs.

Let''s face it, it''s all about the money. If we stumped up enough, I doubt living in Norfolk would be an issue at all.

  5. They''re where they are most seasons.. knocking around the middle/bottom half of the table. There''s too much dross down there for them to go down, and Mick''s competent enough to keep their heads above water.

I don''t even hate them anymore. I just see them as a bit pathetic, to be honest. I''d rather see Villa go down.

  6. Yep, the bird could definitely do with being adjusted a bit. But from what I can tell, it''s similar to the original badge used in the early 19 hundreds. I think they had a simple canary design on the breast.

I don''t know where the design I posted came from. I just whipped it off google. Credit to the guy who designed it though.

  7. I think there are several factors here.

Yes, we''re now on our worst run of defeats since, what, 1946 or something ridiculous. And yet.. I still go in to games expecting us to get something. Obviously I also have the same fears and doubts of any other fan, but I still have some hope that we can start winning a few games. Yesterday was shite, yes, but Leicester and Chelsea were unlucky games for us, and really we should''ve got at least 2 points from them.

For me anyway, it still feels different to our time under Hughton. Our performances are inconsistent, but not relentlessly dour as they were then. I don''t believe that Alex Neil has lost the dressing room. Again, there''s huge inconsistency with the players'' performances, but they still seem to be working as a team and with the focus that suggests they believe a win is possible. It''s just that every time we have a decent performance something painfully unlucky happens (ridiculous Costa offside goal) that knocks us back.

Also, Alex still has credit with the board and fans for delivering us an instant promotion and memorable Wembley victory. We all knew it would be a big step up for him in the EPL, but if you go with the view that this is a learning experience for him, then you have to give him a certain amount of leeway. I think the board feel that if we truly want to establish ourselves as a long term top-flight side then we can''t keep chopping and changing our manager whenever things turn sour. They''re going to stick with him for the long haul, so I suggest we do too.

Finally, about the board, if you truly want to highlight their inadequacies when it comes to relegation, you should also accept that they''ve delivered us multiple promotions in the last decade. And since when does having a rich owner equate to huge playing budgets? Ipswich have a rich owner. Villa have a rich owner, and they couldn''t care less. Ideally what you want is a rich owner that deeply loves the club. Well, we have a relatively poor owner that loves the club, and I''d choose that over the former any day.

  8. You just described every article or opinion piece ever written!

Twitter is no different to any other medium in that respect. The quality of the information is dependent upon the person writing it. What makes it slightly different to, say, a newspaper for example, is that it can accurately convey and reflect a wider feeling or view expressed at a specific moment in time by any number of people or groups. It''s a barometer of opinion, though of course sometimes those opinions won''t sit well with your own.

Besides which, many journalists now use Twitter to link to their own articles or columns, and gives you a wider choice of the articles you''re willing to read. It''s also the preferred mouth piece of your own football club and, until a year or so ago, your chief exec.

I can''t believe i''m spending time trying to argue with you about the merits of Twitter. It has, what, 300 million active users? But of course, they''re all stupid and boring and you''re very clever and interesting.

    Oranges

  9. I never understand people who slag off Twitter. It''s fantastic, especially for football fans. I don''t know any other social networking site that allows you to follow your club and fans so closely. Match days are especially fun, and you get a real sense of the excitement and buzz from everyone involved with the club.

To say Twitter''s dull suggests you don''t really follow the right people.

  10. The vitriol is pretty simple really, and usually accompanies anyone who is any or all of the following:

    1)Intelligent.

    2)Self-deprecating (perceived as insincere)

    3)Humble (see above)

4)Gay and married. Gays are ok as long as they''re easily identified and don''t try to be like straight people

5)Liberal/left wing. Online trolls are usually Tories.

6 and most important) SUCCESSFUL. Absolutely not acceptable! I don''t want to be reminded of my own shortcomings or lack of intelligence/ability/motivation
