what a signing. this guy will run through brick walls like the others do, hunt the ball down and has that arrogance on the pitch towards the opposition similar to chris Martin. but this guy really cares about the club hes at. on twitter he''s devastated if palace lost and says sorry tithe fans and everything, think how motivated he''ll be with 26,000 cheering him on! this guy also is very hard and has a hood engine. soooo happy! -
in media* thorpe canary, thats an excellent point -
I was thinking the same but I''mnot as bothered. I think it''s because it''s Npower footage. but it''ll be worth the wait when everything premier league in meow involves our badge! -
saw the surprise line up and thought I''d flick it on. vokes and tudur-jones are starting plus Martin is on the bench for Scotland I think. OTJ seems to look comfortable and was wondering would you rather keep him to add to the depth of our squad, which we''ll definitely need plus he''ll be on low wages. lambert rates him I believe as he has surprisingly featured a few times and obviously has the attitude lambert likes. plus would you take vokes on a permanent? I would -
Glen Roeder shaking hands with Peter Grant both with faces like :D premiership managing partnership -
this is very interesting, I doubt it would of made the first story on a german news channel I it was just a load of old tosh. I think this is much more likely to happen than the defoe, crouch, SWP rubbish. exciting times my friends! -
my friend told me yesterday they used to urinate in cups and them down onto the away fans too. rank dirty ba*tards -
surprised that you were serious about the swap! (if you were that it lol) but if you were, i couldn''t accept anyway as you won it and you should go an enjoy a fabulous night! i think i''d melt to see the players in real life. i wouldn''t be able to get to wembley and back on my own anyway! well, mother wouldn''t let me hehe -
if you don''t fancy going, i''ll have your ticket please. in return for all my match tickets from this season. the portsmouth one will be a good bit of memorabilia if we establish ourselves for years to come :) -
haha joking mate :) see you in the summer! -
its crap Bowgy. -
Wayne Rooney -
he actually causes ligament damage to that lad. which could possibly make him less of the player he would of potentially been, because he seemed young. scum. i hope he joins an english team so he can get heavy abuse each week -
personally for next season i''d have cody. works his socks off, can score with his head, all round good play, can do a bit of everything and also is pretty rapid. he deserves his chance -
yeah bowgy you bean! -
is that the only reason? he is an animal though -
why do we hate them? i don''t have any idea, can somebody explain? -
on here*size*we* -
people have linked him with us in here but I really really hope we don''t get him, he is the worst CDM I''ve seen who plays each week I''ve seen in ages! so can people please not link him to us, he gives the ball away sooooo much. last night and against middlesborough all I heard the commentator say was "and olifinjana gives away possession again!" he is not even that physically dominant for his side, leigterwood had him in his pocket, I thought he would be a handy player to have in the squad, very neat and keeps things simple.''he have 40 mill to spend apparently, so we can get much better than him. -
i have a palace stub. but i don''t understand why you need it or want to swap for anymore? is this for next season? -
aviva beaver is quality Harry haha! -
song to the tune of ''my sunny sunshine'' or whatever it is, you make me happy when skies are grey! that tune but with creative lyrics. you are my surman, my Andrew surman, you make me happy when skies are grey! you''ll never realise how much we love you, oh please don''t take our surman away! I think people could come up with better lyrics though -
I don''t get Billy Davies. He''s been desperate to sign Earnshaw twice and when he has hasn''t really given him a run in the team. All I know is that whenever I have seen Earnshaw come on as a sub this season he has looked decent and nearly always seemed to score.
We aren''t going to spunk £5m+ on one player.
IMO Wilbraham and Johnson aren''t good enough and will be sold or loaned.
I think we need another smaller striker and you could do a lot worse than Earnshaw on a ''free'' on a one year contract for example. Another player who I think could do a job would be Billy Sharp who would probably cost c£2m, personally a lot better value than Long, Maynard or Graham. Obviously Lambert could sign some unknown or go abroad or may even be tempted with Ched Evans, who again would be better value than the aforementioned.
I also think we need another big targetman for the Premiership and if we can get a smaller striker on a free or relatively cheaply then it will leave us with more money for a decent big targetman.
I think the same can also be applied to the other positions that Lambert feels he needs to strengthen - don''t be surprised to see us signing players on frees or relatively cheaply so that we are strengthening the squad overall and leaving the money for Paul to maybe bring in the 3 or 4 players that he wants that he knows will cost some decent money.
Don''t forget, that just because some players may not have set the world alight over the last couple of the seasons doesn''t mean that they will be no good. Lambert has shown that he is excellent at getting the very best (if not a lot more than could ever have been dreamt) from a lot of players.
hit the nail on the head there, especially about getting the best out of players. I hadn''t heard of fox or crofts or even surman. or even tierney. its not about visible quality, it''s about potential quality. -
i''ve just tweeted him saying: keep trying your hardest dani, that''s all you can do. if the path is still blocked you would be worshipped like a king back at ncfc.for every 10 liverpool fan''s tweets theres 1 norwich fan''s tweet. i think all the norwich tweeters should send him more encouragement just to let him know how much we think of him and so he feels he has the option. i know he probably knows this already but if we keep drilling the message into his head it will be firmly stuck there and i believe there''ll be a good bond between us
