I guess you are referring to me. The guy who came on calling me a moron has posted 33 times in ten years and I saw the red mist. I was full of joy and reacted badly considering the good mood I was in.

If a complete stranger called me a moron in a pub I might well have reacted the same way. I don't see this forum as a sounding board for people to verbally attack others for no reason.

    I didn't call you a moron.

Surely the dumbest question ever posted on here.

In every sport, every club or team, every owner, every manager and every player strives to be competing at the highest level possible.

It's definitely up there. An unbelievably blinkered position.

    absolute nonsense (as usual)

the parachute money has merely allowed us to make PL contract payments and staged transfer payments .............that were only entered into because we were promoted

it has been the recent sales of Maddison, Lewis and Godfrey which has allowed us to be in control of who leaves - that and the ability to develop youngsters at minimal cost, and sign excellent players such as Krul and Pukki for nowt

None of which has anything to do with PL money - so save your whining about money for TWTD where such comment pacifies them as to why they consistantly fail and we succeed

It's not just our last venture into the Prem, it's the past 10 years of frequent visits that have kept us in a position to keep investing in the squad, youth facilities and being able to buy players like Maddison in the first place.

To think we'd be even talking about promotion this season without our previous 3 ventures into the Prem since 2010, is just wishful thinking at best.

Fans saying they'd rather stay in the championship and keep winning can't see the fatal flaw in their argument, it's the winning and getting promoted part that has allowed us to keep winning games in the Championship.

This is too simplistic for me.

It doesn't explain why we are top and yet Bournemouth are heading for midtable.

Or how sheffield United were promoted yet Sunderland are in league one.

Or how Leeds got promoted while Cardiff and Huddersfield were nowhere near.

Or indeed how we were promoted while Swansea and Stoke didn't get a sniff.

It's not solely down to the money I agree, we are well managed too, but without the money, I don't believe we'd be top and able to resist comical bids for Emi from the likes of Arsenal. The Prem money has helped us keep the squad together. Our current position of strength relies on getting back to the Prem - unless serious investment arrives from elsewhere.

So what makes you the arbiter?

Nobody claimed I am. Your position was challenged by somebody on the internet, nothing more, nothing less.

I want Norwich City to challenge at the highest level and I believe we can. If we limit our aspirations to the Championship, we'll be at the bottom end of it before we know it. BTW,  we're only a top Championship club because we've had the financial benefit of being in the Premier League.

I 'm not 'ard as you say, believe me. But why would somebody who posts once a year come on here and insult? And the way I felt at the time I would have quite happily given you a roamin nose.

So pish off back where you came from so we can debate properly. You aren't welcome.

Because there's a small portion of our fans that hold a silly position that deserves to be called out.

Who are you calling moron? Has your Mum gone out and left you alone?

If you read the OP, he asks what we would prefer. And no-one asked you.

You can have last season for yourself and I'll keep this one.

And if you want to repeat this to my face, I'll email you my address and we'll sort it.

    Abused anyone famous on Facebook?

Nobody called you a moron. I called your position moronic.

"Nobody asked you" it's an open question on an internet forum.

I wouldn't dare say it to your face, you've proved you're an ard boy with your reply.

    argue ?

that just adds further to what your motivation is in raking up some old login

as to the subject matter, I am happily discussing the subject matter with others on here

"Give reasons or cite evidence in support of an idea, action, or theory, typically with the aim of persuading others to share one's view."

why not highlight how you joined in 2010 made one post then did not post again till ten years later

it might help others to understand the motivation behind you twisting KGs post

if others feel it’s worth engaging with such a poster then that is their decision,

but it is at least one made from better informed position

Nothing has been twisted. You can waste your time guessing my motivations all day long or argue the substance of the debate.

Ditto for me. Others can choose what they like but I choose what I want to get out of watching my team. And it isn't being cannon fodder for EPL teams.

This is such a moronic position. What you're saying is you want to finish 7th in the champ every season to avoid any chance of the Prem. So right now you must be hating how our season is panning out, you must have boo'd at full time. We're going up, get over it and support your club properly or don't bother following them at all.

You need to look up the differences between race, ethnicity and nationality. You'll be shocked to learn that 195 countries doesn't mean 195 races. Anyway, I can't be bothered any more. The guy you originally replied to had said nothing bigoted at all.

My problem with Farke is does he actually learn anything from the mistakes - or do we continue to play the same way with it seems the inevitable same results?

In Farke's first season we finished poorly and at best mid table. Last season looked actually very similar early on, possibly worse,  and it was only when the 'B' team killed off Cardiff in the cup and injures forced Farke to change things that things improved. Even then at end of the season we actually struggled to get over line.

This season - frankly we have been regressing. Ponderous in attack and so on, always playing ourselves (into) trouble at the back and so on.

Do I have confidence next season of a quick return to the PL - No. I suspect barring a new 'team' discovering itself again by chance we will struggle.

Jesus wept. We won the league, finished 11 points clear of third and went 14 games unbeaten, that is not "struggling to get over the line".

Let's at least be fair to DF.

Let's not start making race an issue here, that's just not right.

Rupp was signed for his top level experience, versatility and because he was cheap. If a Spanish, English - any nationality player - was available with those qualities at the price we paid, he would have been bought in.

He didn't mention anything to do with race, you're the only one who's made it about race.
