Palmer is a 'victim' of these stupid profitability rules that incentivise teams to sell their home grown players.

Palmer asked to leave because he didn't get the promise of more game time he was after. That's from Guradiola too. He is no victim, just a young player who thought he was ready to play regularly.

  2. I thought the reaction was well over the top and really not needed when we were 2-1 up. Wagner has surely earned some respect. Feels like plenty made their mind up long ago and are looking for any reason to justify their opinion now. Yes the subs didn't work at QPR but there have been plenty of times he has impacted games positively and tonight was another.

There's certainly been occasions where he deserved criticism, but recently he's got us playing much better and it's good to watch whilst giving us a shot at the playoffs. Should be the time to get behind the team and see where it goes!

I think with where we were with things it'd been nothing but heartbreak seeing him come in and struggle with the parts provided,  If he goes on to bigger and better things as an established prem league manager then good on him.

But I'm quite happy that we didn't bring him in and sour his name here, but he could be a really great manager for us in future.

I think that ship sailed when he joined Southampton unfortunately. The only way he would end up with us now is if it goes wrong for him in someway.

It’s his first game there in forever, maybe no need to be smug about it? Also, not sure why you’re so keen to dive to Wagner’s defence, but for a super 90 mins from Gunn we could easily have lost today.

His first game there since Leeds last week where he also didn't look comfortable in that role. Much better as a box to box midfielder with the game in front of him.

Can we put that "doesn't produce" label away now?  Basically won us the game.

Good play from Fassnacht too to get on the end of it, but it was the right cross at the right time.

Whilst it was a decent ball (with a deflection) to put this to bed he needs to do it regularly. How many is that for recent seasons?

Are you implying our players didn't lose their heads? Come on buddy, nothing wrong with admitting it. Although I will admit I made a mistake and meant to say first half

First half was a tactical plan to contain them and make it hard for them to break on us. That was certainly no disaster and the game was finely balanced. We got undone by firstly a strange decision to penalise Gibson, a foul not given then Stacey getting sucked forward leaving his man exposed which meant Fassnacht had to get back and cover causing a clumsy foul. Whilst the first half wad short on chances by both sides it was actually a decent game all in all.

I've been told that Nick Cox (director of man utd academy) is on a shortlist of 2 and has met with Delia and Michael and is very interested in the job. Not sure about the other candidate. I know this sounds a bit ITK but the source is very reliable.

Seems like an interesting rumour, like Webber has a strong affinity for developing young players.

    Gibbs?

Which reminds me of recently when TWTD to a man got very hot under the collar when the presence of Norwich City's growing influence in their local schools was first disclosed.

Perhaps the East Anglian pool has its limitations though. The area is not exactly a 'hotspot' in this respect. Thank goodness for Category 1, say I.

How could I forget about Gibbs! But yes, Norfolk isn't known for producing many footballers. The Murphys were from London originally and I think that's the case with Rowe too.

  9. Add Kellen Fisher to that list too.

I don't think it's an unusual amount but up on last season. It's just only few make it so the rest get forgotten about. The season we signed Omabamadele there was also Barden, Soto, Mumba and Josh Martin. I can also remember Melvin Sitti, McCallum was 20 when we signed him, Rocky Bushuri, Simon Power, the lad from Peterborough who's now out on loan but the name escapes me. Daniel Adshead was another.
