  1. You can have millions or in our case less to spend, it''s the Manager PG and his staff who choose the players which are going to play for City.

Well after a very poor season in which PG signed two midfielders Lappin (only one goal for St Mirren and one for City) and Fotheringham (two goals for Aarau and no goals for City).

With all respect for these two players but they are not going improve a lot I''m afraid next season and that''s the same with all those players we hold on to and that''s almost the whole the team.

So please sign some players who can come in straight away in the starting eleven and who can score goals from the back and yes midfield !!!

Because with the same team as last season it''s going te be .... aaaaaghhhhh

And we don''t want to hear again how difficult it is on the transfer market while other teams are bringing in players every other day.

PG must know how the situation is with Tony Warner.

Wants TW to stay? Is he for sale? What salary is he on .... you name it.

He and his staff must know all these things and act ... come on !

    OTBC !!!

  2. Yesss you''re right, and he isn''t getting any better. I think this season was his weakest !

He gives his opponent most of the game too much space. His opponent has all the time to get the ball, controle it and give a dangerous cross or shot. He isn''t closing down his opponent enough like other defenders do to our forwards.

Andy Hughes is the same and he''s also out of position a lot, maybe not his fault because he''s a midfielder, but PG fault.

Please play Colin at right-back, he doesn''t make those silly mistakes and is always close to his opponent, a good reliable right-back !

Yes Andy Hughes gives everything in training and in 90 minutes but he isn''t a good right-back, not if you want to do a  better than this season.

But PG loves Andy Hughes (and Adam Drury) so ........

  3. Hope Dion is fit in time so that we can all celebrate in style this sunday .... yesss 3 points

He has played in 35 games this season ... has scored 6 goals ... hit the woodwork a few times ...  has played lik a rock in defence (ask Sunderland) ... and also up front ... what a PRO !

Please Dion ... stay with us next season (?)

    OTBC !

  4. Well he has just signed a contract ... 3 more seasons ... he tells the Press he wants to play every match and doesn''t need a rest ... and what happens .... yesss ... Mr. PG put him on the bench ...

So why play a not so fit Dublin instead of Martin ... ask PG ... and he will tell you he needs more experience .. power .. fitness ... togetherness ... instead of goals ... confusing !

We want to win some away matches with players who have goals in them ... he better could have dropped Crofty ...

  5. Easton crosses ... Roberts & McVeigh ... GOALS !

McVeigh is a goalscorer .... great passer of the ball ... but he didnt get the chance to play ''regular''in his right possesion ... up front ... or just behind the front striker.

NW chose for only Earnshaw up front which also meant the exit for McKenzie.

Think about it maybe McVeigh is (was) a better option than Croft who''s not producing his early promise and a lack of goals.

  6. So PG is already kicking out Jurgen Colin who has to play in the reseves this afternoon.

Colin has one year to run on his contract but I can understand that he wants to get away from Carrow Road because Hughes is PG number one right now.

I read that Colin is very happy at Norwich, he has a child that needs special care, and the club are doing everything to help his family.

His goal is the Premiership but if that doesn''t happen this summer he wants to play out his contract but maybe that has all changed now.

In Holland he played for PSV Eindhoven and NAC Breda.

In hist first season with NAC Breda his manager was Henk Ten Cate who''s now the manager of AJAX Amsterdam.

He had a good season under Ten Cate at NAC so he''s still hoping (dreaming) that he can team up again with Ten Cate and play for AJAX Amsterdam.

But if he''s not playing for Norwich which English Premiership team wants him ......  ???

    Or AJAX ?

  7. BAD BAD management again PG !

    Doc in midfield .. it''s a joke.

Martin plays well up front and has to go left in midfield because Thorne comes on ....

McVeigh and Eagle on the bench ... to fill in midfield ...

Well we have 11 FIT players on the field now ... including 2 new midfielders ... and they have to produce now ... come on !!!!

  8. Are you sure ? It was a transfer, not some loan arrangement.

Well I think NW made a big mistake with not playing two up front, Earnshaw & McKenzie.

After a few reasonable displays at the start of this season one up front was enough. McKenzie got on the bench and out of Carrow Road.

McKenzie was and is a goalscorer and what do we still need now ????

Yesss a goalscorer ... Croft hardly ever scores, neither does Brown sofar, our whole midfield, also the new players, are not great goalscorers.

Only Earnshaw, Huckerby, Dublin and hopefuly Martin .... you will never never get near the play-offs ... I hope I''m wrong.

And I still think McKenzie is a great player, works 200%, motivator, scorer ... look back on your DVD''s in the Premiership when he was one of the best !

  9. I agree it was a great game but the goals against were poor defending, and we must do better, concentrate for 90 minutes.

The first was unlucky, a deflection.

Second was a Chris Brown mistake.

    Inury time ... (again) ...

The third was a mistake from Shackell, instead of going to the defender he ran to his own goal line.

And the fourth ... well 6 Norwich defenders against only Shevchenko and he can score with a header.

In attack we were not ruthless enough ... Croft should have socred after Etuhu hit the post.

And a Chris Brown header ... Shackell soft shot .. and another Croft chance ... against the bar.

We could have had Chelsea on a replay at Carrow Road ...

  10. A month of transfer rubbish ... first we let go all our young players go to Kings Lynn and Torquay ... Cave-Brown, Fisk, Jarvis and Halliday .... Henderson to Rotherham ... Fleming first to Wolves ... and now with all his experience also to Rotherham.

Four players who can play in defence have been given away... PG ... you don''t need Dublin ... to do everything ... defence and attack ... bad bad management.

And with injuries to Shackell (and Dublin) you need all these guys ... even Fleming ... bad bad management.

We have Gallacher and a very promising young goalkeeper Lewis.... and what do we do ... get in a bunch of loan goalkeepers .. Camp ....Ashdown (PG) ... and Marshall. So next to leave for sure is Gallacher ... and maybe Lewis too. Give people a chance to prove themselves ....

Robert Green was a promising young goalkeeper and had to replace Marshall ... and did very well for us .... remember !

Croft was our Summer signing and is struggeling ...  and not scoring the goals we hoped for...

And yes "only" Chadwick and Brown have come in ... and they have not been good signings so far ... a bad injury and a stupid red card .

So maybe today ... 31st of january 2007 we will get in some more player ... maybe Lappin ... who has scored only one goal this season .... maybe Fotheringham who has not scored at all this season ... I thought we were looking for a free scoring midfielder ...... and PG ... they don''t need to be Scottish !

  11. Croft still injured, Chadwick still injured, Earnshaw still injured (?), Fleming injured again, Doherty still injured, Shackell suspended, Gallacher still injured but he''s the only goalkeeper left (!!!!!), Joe Lewis injured, Lee Camp back to Derby ......

There is even a chance that both goalkeepers don''t make it, from 4 goalkeepers we are back to two (and both injured), and we may have to put in Steve Arnold our Youth goalkeeper who did very well against Arsenal Youth.

The only positive thing is that Safri is back from suspension !

It''s up to the starting eleven how our mood will be, I''m always optimistic, but when you play as defensive as Norwich did against Sunderland and don''t play to win (= score goals) ....

In the Premier League we lost 4-3 at Southampton in the last minute, but that was a great attacking game .... MORE of that please !

  12. Noooo he must not go !!!

Norwich don''t appreciate again what a good player they have in Leon McKenzie.

In our Premier League season he was outstanding !

He has scored 21 goals in 76 matches in total which is not too bad for a Norwich forward.

Only Huckerby and McVeigh have scored more in Norwich colours.

And last season he was injured a few times, not playing that well, but still scored 5 goals in 21 matches.

And now he''s fit again  but not in the team, only one up front yes but for how long ..... ????

This is not gonna work a whole season only Earnshaw up front, come on you need two scoring strikers, every team does .

So please play  McKenzie and drop one of the three mid-mid-mid-midfielders and we will do well and don''t lose a great player like McKenzie.

He is too good to throw away ..... just like that.

  13. Dean Ashton will miss out on a full England debut and the start of the new season after suffering a broken ankle.

The Hammers striker was sent to hospital for a scan after collapsing in training with the national team this morning, and the results this afternoon have revealed bad news.

England manager Steve McClaren has admitted that Ashton would have started the friendly against Greece at Old Trafford tomorrow, but has now named his team with Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch lining up in attack.

McClaren said: "The injury to Dean has really clouded the morning. It''s always disappointing when a young player is injured.

"Dean would have started tomorrow - we did some work with him yesterday and were going to work on him again today. These things happen in football, though, it''s very disappointing and we are all very sorry to see it happen."

  14. The withdrawal on Sunday of team captain Robbie Keane (‘Spurs), Terry Dixon (‘Spurs), Richard Dunne (Manchester City) and Alan Lee (Ipswich Town) brought to six the number of absentees from the squad named by Stephen Staunton for Wednesdays’ match against the Netherlands.

The Irish manager admitted his disappointment when he said: “It’s far from ideal to lose so many of the squad through injury.
“As a result, we are without some of our leading players and with this being the final opportunity to test ourselves prior to the start of the European Qualifying campaign, that’s very disappointing”, he added.

To fill those gapes in attack Staunton has called up Jonathan Douglas (Leeds United) and Daryl Murphy (Sunderland).

The withdrawal of Richard Dunne must impact significantly on Staunton’s planning for the Dutch game for he and Andy O’Brien (Portsmouth) were the ''only regular centre-backs named in the squad''.

So why no Gary Doherty  ... Mr Staunton ???
