I have Rotherham supporting friends and they always seem like a nice bunch of fans.It must be tempting if you live somewhere like that to support a bigger neighbour in this case Wednesday or United, but they stick with their team.

I suppose a lot of it is luck. Could easily have run into some knobheads and ended up with a different opinion.

I'm not upset about this season because I expected it.... but loving it? Really? You're enjoying playing well, losing every week and VAR screwing us at every opportunity? This is a totally miserable, joyless season. The only good thing about it is that it will be over soon.

Fully agree K.I.O.  I'm not enjoying it either. To many men against boys performances for me. You could write the script for practically every game.

Some flashy moves from us until the big boys take over. Is this recent euphoria because a few tv punters have praised our play?.

They haven't actually said we should have won, just we played well in parts.

    The table doesn't lie.

I'm a happy clapper. I'm content with our owners and our place in the footballing hierarchy at this moment in time, but i also live in the real world. We're almost certain to get relegated, we can't keep the ball out of our net, we have to work too hard to score at this level, we're weak on set pieces and most of our best talent is very young and very raw. I still support the team/club regardless. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say there's a problem, but there also isn't a quick or simple solution to it. We are where we are at the moment. I hate losing as well, but Pep Guardiola with a 100m budget couldn't save us this season. We're not dropping down to L1 or going to have to endure a fire sale, next season should be very interesting given the budget we'll have.

And who knows what will happen in the future. The bottom half of the PL went from very strong to very, very weak between our promotion in 2004 and 2010. We could get promoted again in a few years, adopt the same strategy but find ourselves competing with less intense competition next time round. This is the strongest PL I have ever seen, we've been quite unlucky to be a promoted club this year but circumstance could change in the future.

    Good post, spot on.

Teemu, actually you could put me in a room with players of multiple nationalities because I speak fluent Italian, French, German and - arguably 😂 - English. I have coached in multiple countries and learned a great deal from it.

Parma old chap. I thought I saw a few months back someone on here requesting more specifics on those qualifications of yours. That's when you alluded to to have done something in 'the Italian system', or something equally vague. You know, who ,where, when, that sort of thing. But I must have missed your reply. Could you just remind me, us.

Why didn't you point out he was too weak for this league in the first 4 or 5 games this season? From what I can see his strength hasn't changed whatsoever from then till now..

I didn't mention it earlier because several were already saying he's brushed off the ball to easily. It's been obvious all season.

But hey ho, the game is all about opinions, and if you'rs is that he's up to the task then the best of british to you.

I hope you're right in the long run.

  6. Agree with both comments. Especially considering there was several players out there who were from warmer climes.

Glad he was pulled at h/t because he's too weak for this league, at the moment anyway. To many yokels building him up because they're craving for a local hero.
