Im not in norfolk! Im in Burnley! -
Word circulating the Turf Moor ground after the match today was that PL has walked out of the managers job at Carrow Road!
Please tell me this is nonsense. I feel sick!
-
My mate is a Burnley fan and he claims that Lambo went for the Burnley job when Coyle left but had just joined Norwich.
Due to him not wanting to Judas jump ship twice in under six month''s he declined the job !
I''m in Burnley and have been for 15 years. I haven''t heard any of the rumours about Lambert last time or this time. He ruled himself out when they were Premiership. Why would he go when they are Championship?
Laws got the job because he was the only candidate to agree to a ''restrictive transfer budget''. Several weeks ago the Burnley Board promised fans at an open forum that they wanted to give Laws a little longer and would ''review his situation at the end of the year''. Looks like he saved them the chance as from what I''m reading up here, he resigned.
Names being mentioned up here are Hughton, Fergusson, Alladyce and that orange, singing guy from Hull who''s name escapes me.
He won me a nice little pile of cash today, so I couldn''t really give a toss about his past......... [Y]
You would make a good manager or agent.

As the England International Team shows, your moral fibre as a human being doesn''t seem to matter when it comes to football.
Myra Hindley would probably get a game if she was able to play on the left!

Sad news.
Being Burnley based, our local paper dated today says he is in hospital following a stroke.
Just shows how fast these things can happen and how fragile life is.
216 appearances and 26 goals for the Clarets. RIP
Sorry, nothing to announce, just wanted opinions...

With that thread title you don''t want my opinion.

All 30 pc''s in the ICT room at school have just voted. God bless Admin access. -
We lost a game of football.
Some Canaries fans are starting to sound like a bunch of girly victims on the school playground.
Let it go.

If it comes about then that would be lovely. Take the cash, the parachutte payments and say goodbye after 12 months.
I just don''t want the club to over-commit financially in order to achieve it.
It would also be inevitable that when we start to get tonked every week the fickle fans will start calling for Lambert to go, ignoring the fact that it was him that got us there in the first place. Ring any bells?
-
So we can play against 11!
That second half was what I guess we call ''a lesson in grafting''.
Don''t know what that male lino was all about. Made some terrible decisions in Derby''s favour. Still got the win though.
Oh no. more witless texts from the terminally stupid " ... and Chloe from Scunthorpe says when are you going to mention the Irons, we are the least mentioned team in the league ? " " Not any more, whilst Colin from Preston asks if things are ever going to get any better at Deepdale, he''s a season ticket holder and he says he''s fed up, and Darren needs to start doing something soon or the club could go down..." " and one from a Bristol fan who feels that this could be their season, if they could just start winning their games ......... "
It''s funny because it''s true!

Am I the only person not to care about us not getting the World Cup?
The only thing that bothers me about the whole thing is that it is one more thing to have to listen to other drone on about to add to a growing list f things that simply don''t matter.
Royal weddings
Olympics
Snow
X-Factor
If we are going to talk about corruption and point the finger at Russia we need to get our own house in order first. Stones and glass houses etc.

BM was a successful and intelligent businessman. For that reason alone he chose not to invest in a struggling football team who''s future was uncertain. So what?
I live up north and to many BM passing has been a bit of a joke. "Was it really the man off the adverts?" etc
I''ve been liking his passing to a coal-pit closing (not entirely accurate - i know), but his business provided a livelihood to many for decades and hopefully will continue to do so.
If I was a multimillionairre would I invest in the club never to see the money again for fans who are never happy to just ask for more?

Biased, but well written.
None of the usual sub-GCSE, ex-pro, cliche ridden drivel.
The sad thing is that most Leeds fans wouldn''t understand it so would ''Bang ''im'' anyway.

He may not be the best center back, but he is the best we have at the club who is available.
Do some people seriously think that players go out to deliberately play badly? We should give them a break.

Does he have a wikipedia entry? I think he should if he doesn''t.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Oliver_(referee)
"Michael Oliver was introduced to refereeing by his father, Clive at the age of 14" F**k me, his father was young when he had him[;)]
Someones already got there:
Mr. Oliver took charge of West Bromwich Albion against Blackpool F.C. on 1 November 2010, where Mr. Oliver showed two red cards, sending off Pablo Ibanez for a foul in the West Bromwich Albion penalty area and Jara for a challenge near the corner flag. The red card for Ibanez was subsequently rescinded upon appeal to the Football Association. He then got demoted to the conference for a shocking decision to send Grant Holt off in the Reading v Norwich game which any half intelligent person could see was hardly even a booking.

It''s hard enough playing as 10 men, but when the other team have 12 on the pitch it''s damn near impossible. -
No, it made me a slightly smaller, but identical version of myself. Then I fell down a big, green drain pipe. -
I must be one of the few people who hasn''t bothered to find out what Carroll has done. What ever it is, it wont surprise me, but why shouldn''t he fit in to the England set up?
What ever he has done I''m sure it would fit in nicely alongside drink drivers, speeders, club brawlers, drug cheats, kerb crawlers, adulterers and rapists. (allegedly)
-
You see, what he as done there is confuse reality with a console game.
It''s easily done. Just last week I found myself trying to kill red, flying turtles by jumping on them whilst dressed up as a plumber.
-
He is good enough for this league.
The trouble is, if you''re not playing and there is no reserve team, there are very few opportunities to proove yourself.
-
Thanks for saying what I found it too challenging to say. -
The forum wouldn''t let me post two threads on this.
I wanted one supporting the decision and another condemning it, just to play it safe when the results are in.
I was trying to get my fickleness over with before the results come in.
Rumour at Turf Moor following the 4-2 win against Sheff Utd. Please tell me it isnt true.

Not in Burnley. Until today it was said that Davies would leave Nottm Forest for Burnley. before that is was Eddie someone from Bournmouth.
