  1. I agree that we have had difficulty all season, breaking down teams who have come to defend. I would like to see us work the ball into shooting positions at the front of the box and then we stand a good chance of picking off rebounds, if they don''t go in first time. We need to mix that approach with the crossing from the bi-line approach. AN said we had 47 crosses tonight and only two shots on target according to the BBC. Wow!

  2. I think this is interesting.  Our stats against top-half teams puts us 2nd in the league but against bottom half teams, we are 11th and if you drill-down further you will see that our performance against bottom half teams at home, we are 18th in the league .  This might suggest a complacency or show an inability to break teams down when they defend against us. I think that was certainly true in the early part of the season but the last two home victories might indicate an improvement on that front. We will see.Anyway, the stats for performance against top half teams are shown here:http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2014-2015/versus-top-half/full...and against bottom half teams; http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2014-2015/versus-bottom-half/full

  3. The big issue for us is still how to break down these teams who play defensively against us.  For me, I believe we need to work the ball into shooting positions from the edge of the box and get shots heading towards goal to benefit from deflections or second phase play, rather than crossing from an angle into a packed area.
