Looks like we are narrow in attack because we have no natural wingers. Previous games, we had wingers and everyone was calling for Hugill because it suits his game better. Now he gets his chance and we have no wingers. Go figure!

Cantwell/Buendia must be in the mix this week. That's what's best for the team and that's apparently what Farke thinks is important. We keep hearing that no-one is bigger than the club but that I'm beginning to think that has a caveat - providing you stay in Farke's good books. I get that he wanted to send a message last week but as a minimum, they should have been on the bench, so that we could call on there creative skills, "for the benefit of the Club".

We just dont seem to playing the way we did during our last time in the Championship and the early part of last season.
We look a shadow of the team that was playing those quick, short inter-passing incisive moves. I guess confidence is low after last season

Lose it in the middle of the park and we are punished.

My stream working fine using Firefox and pleased they have added the ^away commentary^ as I didn't fancy listening to Radio Solent.

👍 yes - that's what I was thinking.

It's a 90 minute chance to whine like kids about Rupp and Mclean, and if we lose its a win because you can all whine about them all night as well.
And with Emi being out the next 8 hours are a pinkun poster's whining pant wetting festival.
But for those with brains, this is a team to pack the midfield and counter with pace away from home against a team who will press.
Why are all the response buttons positive? Can we get a negative button for these sort of posts?

That team looks like we will be hoping for a counter attack. Can't see Pukki getting much service today.
-
Good result. We looked solid at the back. Liked Skipp and Quintilla.
-
Nearing 70 mins mean we should get some changes soon.
-
Thought McLean should have done better there.

Created very little this half, Look forward to Buendia coming back. His link up play is better than what we have here in this first half.

£10 a match pushes this up to about £500 a season, which is some price hike (although understandable due to all the pandemic income reduction).
I already have my season pass. I paid CAD $241. Just go to i-follow page and click subscribe.

Judging by our results in the PL this season, this argument is true for the whole team.
I liked Trybull and thought he worked well with Tettey, not so well with McLean but they are similar players in that regard.

I disagree with OP. We need to make sure the lessons are not lost after such a miserable season I look forward to more physical players and a much better defensive record in the future.
-
Yep. Laughable!
-
Actually, this is a good test for our defence and they are doing quite well, half way though the second half.
-
This is comical.

That's Buendias season over and since its violent conduct, he'll probably miss the start of next.
-
Wow a shot on target. And from a corner. V UNLUCKY.

As others have said, I think the lack of attacking the ball when it comes into the box is the main problem. Its not just zonal marking. Our defence has been poor for many seasons and a quick review of goals conceded (over the last few seasons since our best defensive record) supports that:
2014/15 - 48 Championship (lowest conceded goals was 37)
2015/16 - 67 Premier League (lowest 35)
2016/17 - 69 Championship (lowest 40)
2017/18 - 60 Championship (lowest 39)
2018/19 - 57 Championship (lowest 41)
2019/20 - 67 Premiership (so far - heading for a new low)Farke has been in for the last 3 years but has not chosen or been able to sort the defence out. Perhaps the lesson will learned for next year but the signs are not good.

Think Rupp is much better in the defensive midfiekd role and seems to link nicely with Skipp. Pleased for him
