1.
I have to say that I strongly disagree with a lot that has been said in this thread. The only way this club can really progress in terms of financial security and club size is if we make it to the Premiership.
Read this as you obviously missed it first time around.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/the-debt-league-how-much-do-clubs-owe-1912244.html

  2. I''d certainly oppose any approach from Cullum as I always did, the more you find out about that man, the further you want to run. But Mook speaks wisely. from the right person, then maybe, though I''d not be over enthusiastic. What pride does a sugar daddy bring?

The game will never return to where it was, Sky will see to that. But the sooner we make a stand against wages like Reading have, the prouder I''ll be.

  3. There''s nothing provincial about wanting to get our national game back KB. Look on other message boards, its a opinion that gains support with every season that the gap grows. the prem League has long been described as three leagues within one as i''m sure you''ve heard. Football is all about dreaming ''One day.....'' but when the chances of that day arriving diminish thanks to people with big pockets buying clubs and playing championship manager, resentment (not the same as jealousy). I''d like them all to just **** off TBH

This is nothing new. It tends to be the viewpoint of the older fans, those still starry eyed are more interested in the kudos associated with their club being in the top flight. Its as if they feel that the fact the team they support is second tier reflects badly on them personally.

The reality of course is that fans of smaller clubs carry more respect and kudos than any of the bigger folowings can ever dream of.

  4.
I say pack the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man. City etc. off to some pumped up Euro League.Re-instate the old 4 division set up where any club is in with a chance of reaching the top given shrewd signings and good leadership. No more johnny foreigners as players/managers due to the ''low profile'' and no more ridiculous spending to keep up with the ''bigboys''.......What we would have left would be a fiercely competitive league set up where domestic success was the inspiration and not the corrupt European cash cow.
Again agree. The Premiership is killing football at all levels. Until it changes you can poke it.

    Long live football

  5.
A return to Premier League football, even for one season, could balance the books at Norwich.
Oh yeah....like last time. Liverpool, everton, Newcastle, Sunderland....all have ''balanced books.....not

And Ryan, you''re a twat because you dont read peoples posts, you read what you want them to have said. Read Mooks post again.

  6.
"Seriously, I fail to see why anyone would want us back in the prem."

Seriously? What a horrendously shocking and brainless thing to say.

    You''re on your own pal!

What a barrel of laughs you must be on match day. Every time we score do you curse our luck, every time we take a step closer to promotion with each win, do you complain?

How the hell can you claim to support this club with an attitude like that? If you think promotions guarantees financial suicide then not only are you totally ignorant but your also missing the whole point of promotion. Its not just about the money in case someone forgot to tell you.
I''m afraid I resent the whole Premiership setup......''pal''. I resent seeing average players getting £40k a week. I resent what its done to the lower leagues. i resent what its done to the International setup.

We are, after all, still paying for the last excursion to the promised land.

And I''m far from on my own......''pal'', In fact i''d suggest that many of those beyond wide eyed teen years would be quite happy to see the prem elite sail away into the Euro league they so badly want and leave the rest of us to contest a structured and exciting national league.

There have been many discussions on here about it. Ask around.....''pal''

  7. Well if we go up we''ll probably all sacrifice our clubs financial security for another 5 years so on that basis - I''m out.

Seriously, I fail to see why anyone would want us back in the prem. We should have a Speedway like system, win the league and have the option to tell them to poke it.

  8. @Nutty.... dont say "its all very well listing mistakes..." Its what I was asked to do FFS

And thats a short list of many.

Ruddy has serious shortcomings, if you cant see and accept that then its just tinted specs time. Because he makes mistakes doesn''t mean he wont have moments of brilliance, obviously.

The whole train of thought that says you should blindly support players and not criticise is ludicrous, the manager stands on the touchline and kicks water bottles whilst ranting and raving, but I, as a paying spectator, is supposed to sit on my arse and keep quiet or politely applaud. **** that. If they make genuine mistakes then fair enough, the only people who dont are the people who do **** all.

But when there are obvious, consistent shortcomings, then you''d be nuts not to express your feelings either against the player, the manager for picking him or both.

Mind you there seem to be about 23,000 sheep at CR these days so no surprise mediocrity taking home £10k a week is applauded

    baaa....

  9.
When?

I don''t remember his doing anything like that for Norwich, and don''t watch every West Ham game....so when are all these blunders?

And Ruddy has made more than one error for us anyway....
Forest away (televised), Gillingham away, QPR away, England debut, ...If you ever have the pleasure of meeting malky mackay, ask him about Robert green.
