I don''t disagree with you at all, Be Smart, but just by the by, didn''t Hucks, Crouch and Harper come in as loans, after the transfer window (and an indifferent start to the season)? I''d love a new face for Saturday too, but I guess if there isn''t one all is not lost yet.

What I meant with reference to Hucks et al, was the financial commitment involved regardless of if they are loans or whatever, it is showing the fans and the footballing world intention to compete.

  2.
I think you''re setting your sights high if you think that team and manager can get mid-table obscurity
If you are serious that the team & manager we have now can''t achieve mid-table, then I can only assume one of three things

    1) You don''t go and watch Norwich City play

    2) You know nothing about football and how its played.

    3) You are a fool

Come on then which one is it 5-4-1

  3. It seems to me we are about to be let down, whos to blame Roeder for being blinkered, only having eyes for Iversen?

Or is it the board for only allowing Roeder a fifth of what he needed to sign the players required after the cull?

If I was a bookmaker the signs are there that we will sign nobody even Roeders comments are less positive about getting anyone, Dick Wa**horn has joined in with the negativity also, in his latest piece of (cough) sports journalisim.

I know this has been said many times but this is a pivotal few days for the rest of our season, no targetman, or hold up striker then our season will result in mid table obscurity, with the required player in, I  still think the play-offs are possible.

Come on Delia, Come on Roeder you know what we need, go out and get him, take a punt a la Hucks, Crouch & Harper you know its worth ££££££££''s if it pays off, if it doesn''t we will be only marginally worse off than we are now (money wise).

Heres praying come Saturday that there is a new face in the team and we can go out and get our first 3 points of the season.

They got there in the end [:D] and the publicity in the papers will help their cause. Hopefully at some stage they''ll have a meeting for all interested Norwich fans to explain to us exactly how it will work and give us a chance to raise any concerns.

Have to say that the website is much improved and much more user friendly.

I think C/A most of that has been gone through and is on their constitution bit of the website anyhow.

  5. Good to see that the Norwich City Kitty is finally up and running!

As has been shown in this transfer window, the board has no money to give Roeder (well just a few pennies here and there), so maybe if we get behind this venture (if we can afford a few quid a month), come January transfer window he might have some cash to compete a bit better.

I thought maybe if the Kitty was giving the club money that the directors wouldn''t bother, but as we have seen without the Kitty they haven''t bothered either, so good luck to the Kitty, bring it on!

  6. Do a few of you just believe what Archant have to say when it suits you?

Because Chris L. has written a piece regarding Norwich not offering enough for a player, you decide to take it as gospel, had the story have been about any other subjec,t you would say they are guessing or taking the story from elsewhere.

Don''t get me wrong if this is true I will be as p***ed off as the next man, I have no faith in the board at all, but it just annoys me that you have taken a bit of inside info from Archant as fact.

As is always said on this message board the only people who really know the true details are a few a Norwich and a few at Rosenbourg, not Chris L.

    Who else have we got???

Lupoli, Chicken Korma or Darrel Russell???
I''ll take the first one please!!! [:|]
What 2 goals added to the 7 he got for Derby in their promotion season?

Probably all Lupoli will score all season.

Did he not miss an open goal last week???

Even his first goal todaqy was apparently offside.
Look you total pratt, he said this week he has just reached 100% fit and today shows the result of that.

As for only scoring seven for Derby, that my friend is history, as are the days of when Jamie used to score loads.

I think its about time that you all give the norwich city manager time to get the right player.
Sorry Mrs Roeder, we didn''t mean to pick on your hubby
Fact is, people like you wouldn''t dare say these things to Roeder away from your virtual facade.
I will give you some facts if you want......

1, I think Roeder is a class manager and really knows his stuff, but, and its a big but (no not like JFH''s butt) he has known for 8 months that we needed a target man, yet still we are no nearer getting one.

2, The statement about Mrs Roeder was supposed to be mildly amusing.

3, I was outside the ground one day with my 5 yearold daughter when Worthy pulled up in his car, he got out and came over to speak to us. After the usual chit-chat he then said what do you think about the team, what do you think about the way they are playing, and what do you think I can do to improve things.  Yes I know it seems strange but on my childrens life thats what happend, and I told him in a frank and honest manner, so in answer to your question yes I would dare tell the manager what I think, he''s not a God just a man doing a job who can, like us, make errors of judgement.

  9.
Well if today''s EDP is to believed we are very close to getting Killen from Celtic. However, I do get the feeling that many journalists seem to get their stories after looking at message boards!
Well Sal since this morning it looks like Roeder has poured cold water on that one also.

He must really, really want Iversen, come on Glenn no more waiting move for someone now.

I honestly thought after the Blackpool game he would move heaven and earth to get a striker in.

I am not a happy bunny as it now looks like our main striker against Blackpool is going to be someone who last season was an average midfielder in a below average championship side.

    Worried? You should be!

  10.

what is causing this blinkered search by Roeder? Is it that he is so bloody minded in his pursuit of this striker, that he is not prepared to be beaten by Rosenbourg?

Come on please Glenn, swallow your pride, admit defeat on this one, before we lose too many points.
Ah at last Maxwell, you are starting to put the blame where it belongs, I felt sure you would get there eventually.
If thats the case then Jim, maybe we need a "special" coach just for Glenn to help him deal with his issues

  11. Another seven days has passed with Roeder telling everyone who will listen for weeks & weeks that we need that target man.

I, along with loads of others I would think are getting P''ed off with hearing about how it remains his priority, and I really don''t want to hear about the mystery strikers club not sticking to their part of the deal.

If, as most think,  it is Iversen of Rosenbourg then now is the time to move on, give up on him, and get someone else in, and quick he is hardly worth jepordising the season for is he?

I would even be as bold to state that we must give JFH a chance (as an extra not as the main signing) on whatever deal is best for the club ,just to get an extra dimension to our attack against Cardiff, otherwise we will come away with nothing.

what is causing this blinkered search by Roeder? Is it that he is so bloody minded in his pursuit of this striker, that he is not prepared to be beaten by Rosenbourg?

Come on please Glenn, swallow your pride, admit defeat on this one, before we lose too many points.

Sadly, I am thinking that with this news story, the Norwich fans are being gently primed for an announcement, possibly a month''s loan or until Jan.  I know players do train with clubs when out of contract just to get fit, but why Norwich (as far as I am aware JFH has no links with us).
The link between JFH and Norwich is that he has probably scored loads against us
