On a subject of seeing players, Russell Martin was at Lloyds today enjoying the sun. He has a hot wife/girlfriend. -
I believe he could do really well there, even with Megson in charge. I hope we have a hefty sell on fee. -
Morison lob 19th minute 1-0. -
How do you think Under 16''s for example can afford to watch football for a Grade A game at £25? We are in a recession, some adults cannot pay past £28 every game. I know other clubs charge high but why do we have to follow them? -
I hope that the board will take into account just what made the supporters come week in week out over the last 7 years. It was due to the great family value for money promotions and allowing school kids to come to the games at cheaper prices. I''d love the stadium to be expanded to something like 40,000 or even more to allow this to continue to happen. With 22,000 season ticket holders, add 2,000 on the waiting list, as well as around 3,000 away fans. That''s 27,000 fans who are already guarenteed to be there, not even counting casual matchday tickets. That gives you 13,000 for additional season tickets and family deals. I''d drop the prices lower to allow a new generation of die hard fans to watch Premier League football. We could, in theory, have a big fan base in terms of Premier League attendances. -
I can guarentee we will fill that, I thought the away capacity was 6000 in that stand? -
I always wanted to make a massive banner that could be put up before the game that would cover the Barclay lower. I''d imagine it would cost alot but I''d be willing to chip in for something like that. -
I think Fox is a massive player for the side and probably the 2nd best midfielder we have (Hoolahan being 1st). I hope and think he will be given a chance in the Premiership, I actually think he will be a starter. -
I wouldn''t be concerned. I think the new shirt doesn''t help. -
Ruddy, Barnett, Ward, Crofts, Jackson, Morison, Surman, Wilbraham, Johnson, Brindley, Bennett Strong second team. Where''s Cody? -
Good solid start to pre season. As they say, it''s always the best way to start a season against a rubbish team and beating them convincingly. Get''s the morale in the camp high before we set off to Germany. -
Any players under the age of 21 before 30/06/11 don''t have to be included in the 25 man squad. -

Maybe the board are being clever. We only have 2,000 normal tickets available and 3,000 away fans, who should be used to paying that amount so we make more money as we have too much demand for the supply. If we were to stay up, get an expansion, say, 35,000. Then drop the prices slightly and fans will think it''s a bargain and we will again get full houses. Abit over the top, I know, but it''s a good business plan. -
We could certainly rival Wolves for him, and I think we would have a good chance of getting him. Obviously Lambert was his boss when he was at Wycombe. It is a little steep but we get a quality centre back who has all attributes to be in the England squad. I''d at least like to see us be ambitious and try and bring him to us. -
I hope we go for: RuddyR Martin, New Centre Back, Whitbread, Tierney Fox Bennett Johnson Hoolahan Holt Vaughan -
I''m getting a little bit concerned as well. I think we need two players. We definitely need a very good centre back who will partner either Whitbread of Barnett at the back. Tierney and R Martin will definitely get there chances next year. With another centre back I think defensively we look strong. The second signing I would make is another goalkeeper. I can imagine there will be an adequate free transfer who would be good and wouldn''t be expensive. I wouldn''t mind seeing another ball winning centre midfielder. I''d sign another 3 if I had the chance, but 2 is definitely needed. -
Pilkington has a fantastic left foot, so he would take the right hand side free kicks, Bennett the left hand side free kicks. Really excited about both of these players after seeing clips of them. -
A few media sources are reporting Ipswich are signing Lee Bowyer. They are starting to become "journeymen''s last pay check" 11. -
I agree with wiz, I trust Lamberts and the medical teams judgement. If we sign him, I''m happy. -
New Buckenham? That would be a trek and a half! He would live 5 minutes down the road from me, however. -
Tried to get on earlier, wouldn''t work. Now all of the sudden I''ve managed to get on here, looks like their is some serious problems at archant towers. -
But McNally did mention that he was hopeful we were to sign two players before the end of June. I imagine De Laet was one of them, who was the other? Bradley Johnson?
