I hope nobody stayed up to watch that! Poor from the BBC[:S]
Was playing Mass Effect 2 until about 20 past midnight, turned over, and they were then showing the CCC league table. That was lucky. -
Seems they''re a bit premature with where we''ll be next season too. If you check here then look at the league we''re in ''supposedly''.http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/football/ -
KICK IT OFF... -
Following a couple of others.Swansea to beat Peterborough.GL NYC. -
Pretty short meeting:
Robbie: Gimme a million
Super Dave: Stitch that wide boy. Come on Delia lets go down Subway.
I actually laughed out loud at this, and in the process, managed to spit Dr. Pepper over the keyboard... Nicely done. -
The voiceover doesn''t describe the game I was at! Makes it seem like one-way traffic. Interesting to be reminded that we did create some decent chances amongst all the misplaced passes.
A shame the pictures didn''t catch the City bench celebrating on the pitch after the winner...
I agree. It was nice to see Lambert & Co out there applauding the fans after what had been a difficult game and (with respect to current performances) a difficult period of time. -

Sorry for the double post... Just saw this.
Nelson did well last night and in general he usually plays well for us.
I think it''s odd how much people want Askou back in the team, I don''t think he''ll improve anything.
I had to chuckle last night when Nelson made a good defensive header under pressure, the ball went about 20 yards or so but was picked up by a Southend player who reacted quickest. A chap near me said "Your distribution is awful, Nelson". All you can do is laugh, some people are totally clueless.
Are you in the Jarrold stand?I''ve a chap who sits behind me who was giving nelson and Lappin both the FFS treatment whenever they did bloody well just to get something on the ball, only for a Saarfend player to gain possession. They''re trying... Jesus. It made me quite angry to be honest.
I am in the Jarrold.
But I think it''d be a bit of a needle in a haystack job trying to pick out clueless whingers who have it in for certain players.
What block you sit in mate? -
Just bought the evening news, as I do after a City game and was reading the player ratings.Apparently, we had a chap called Danny Rose have a mare and get a 5/10 for us.I''ve noticed these papers getting quite sloppy recently when it comes to the sports and editing :( -

I saw something in Nelson last night that I haven''t seen since Hughes against the scum about 3 years ago.He looked like a man on a mission and the amount of tackles he threw himself into in the opposition''s half was amazing. I can''t remember seeing him venture beyond it with the exception of set-pieces, so to see him moving up to dispossess the opposition was refreshing. It was between him and Oli for MOM last night IMO (Oli obviously because of the goals). -
Had a poor morning.Had to vent a little. -
Just pulled this from the FL website:

Our lowest attendance has been higher than all but Leeds'' + Southampton''s highest attendances... They''re: as in they are. There: as in, over there *points*.Their: Their possesion, their football team etc.Sorry, that just bugs the hell out of me. -
I didn''t boo, but people were angry and I can understand why they did it.Lappin was terrible, Hughes had a mare, Rose was dreadful, Holt and Martin were trying, but nothing was coming off for them.McNamee was the only one who looked anything going forward. The defence (Rose aside) were the only ones I feel that deserved any praise in that first half. -
Olly''s late header tonight.[:)]
T''was very good. Nice to see us score from a corner for once :) -
I don''t think you can write McNamee off Zipper.I would like to see him replace Lappin on the left on Saturday if it''s an option. I agree with Smudger that Lappin has been fairly poor, maybe not since Christmas, but definitely this month.Regardless of what happens, we cannot leave young Smith out of the side. He added a little grit in the middle when he came on.Also, at the caller on CC last night who said the Doc has come to the end.... What a pillock. I was not surprised he ''didn''t gooo to the gaim tunite Neeeeeeil....'' -
Did''nt holts tooth fall out?
I think that was R. Martin, but yeah... someone''s did :)I think Nelson should have gotten a much higher rating... He was ''my'' MOTM if I''m being honest... He wouldn''t let them win anything in the air and went in bloody hard a few times, even in their half! -
Another excellent performance from the Doc tonight. Nelson also defended very well again, he didn''t have his best game against Southampton but tonight he got right back into it and thoroughly deserves his place in the team.
Also, I thought Russell Martin did very well.
Shame Rose had an absolute shocker. The quicker Drury''s back, the better... -
And more to argue my point. Today at school, was talking to a few mate''s and about I know about 10 poeple who I just talked to today who are going tonight. Even a few came up to me and asked me if I was going, as I normally do and they probably don''t. So that''s about 10 more now we are top of the league, maybe about 3 of those would normally go. [Y]
I''m confused... You say that they ''probably don''t go normally'', but they are definitely 10 new people who don''t go. (Well, 7...)Still, having 24k+ fans at every game and the highest (aside from the part time Leeds supporters) average attendances in the league is not pathetic. Hell, a fluctuation of 2k fans between highest and lowest in attendances is amazing. Not many other clubs would boast that I feel. -
Anyhow... do not want to pull this thread further off topic by discussing the merits of Spillane in the holding role. Morty really should of started a new thread with such a good shout!Back on topic with would you start McNamee?
On topic eh?If we are to start McNamee, I feel we need a stronger player sitting back. This would be a reason to start Spillane ahead of Hughes.Lappin''s performances have waned recently, but he does still chip in at the back. From what I''ve seen of McNamee, he doesn''t look like the sort of guy to help out at the back. That, and he is a midget. If McNamee starts, so does Spillane (or Gill maybe), if Lappin starts, Hughes to play, as he will get the help from Lappin. -

True enough but there is no manager in the world that inspires enough confidence to stop any fool with a copy of Football Manager thinking they could do a better job!Seriously, have you seen how good Cody gets by the 2018 season etc!!!I think the Russel suspension will necessitate a bit of a change as think Hughes is a different player.
Makes me wonder if maybe Spillane is the answer in the Russell position, though I don''t know if he''s fit enough yet.
This could be a very good shout Morty... [Y]Although it does have to be said that you would not want to play any player in such a position unless you were sure of their fitness. [Y] [;)]The tackle that Spillane put in on some Gillingham player (was it Weston) earlier this season was awesome! Spillane has all the attributes to play that position that is for sure... I am just wondering if he could be a little hot headed (just as Russell has been accused of many times in the past) to fill such a role at such a young age.I think maybe go with Hughes for the first hour and then if Spillane is fit enough bring him on 2nd half?
I think that would be a good idea... Possibly earlier if it looks like Saarfend want to boss the midfield and Hughes is lacking. Also, I don''t know if I''m mistake, but didn''t Spillane originally start out as a holding midfielder? I had something in my head saying he did :)As for being hot headed, that''s expected for a player in this position. Hell, some of the best over the last few years have been animals (Gatusso being a prime example for Milan). -
Hoolahan at Paulton Rovers the curler was a good goal into top corner. If it had happened in league against better opposition it would be goal of the season but maybe not due to standard of goalkeeper.
I don''t think any goalkeeper would have had a chance with that one mate :) Right in the top corner it was. -

Mine has to be Spillane''s vs the O''s.Cuts inside just to the edge of the area and lets fly with an awesome shot off of his weaker foot.Very impressed I was.2nd place goes to Holt''s chest-down and Volley (I believe in the same game).
Ticket office woes.
