Looks like plenty of us keep punishing ourselves each week then. Thanks for the responses, some notable absentees, Wiz, Smudger, etc does anyone know whether they go?
I''m pretty sure Smudger openly says he refuses to go, until the board do, or demo''s start...dont hold me on that however as im not so sure.Wiz as far as i remember goes to some games, but is not financially able to go to every one. Again, im not so sure if im right or not, i might be getting mixed up [:)]
Very true Hogs...as many on here well know.... Although I have broken that promise a couple of times in the last 6 months or so.

I don''t see what difference it makes Mr Magoo... some of us can judge that we have a crap team after watching us for just a few minutes... it seems to take you lot at least half a season each year though doesn''t it???

I said that we looked in a right old mess a few games in to the season when we were supposedly going to win the league with most of our Premiership team still intact... as time has passed over the last few years, things have gone from bad to worse.

I usually know somebody who has gone to the game and pick up snippets here and there which allow me to form a judgement... I haven''t been too far wrong on my snap judgements so far have I???

I guess some of us have it and some of us don''t hey???
Doesn''t particularly make any difference, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, just helps me to consider peoples opinions when they post, particularly when they are very outspoken.
I''ve always wondered that, CC. It''s all the board''s fault when we lose but it isn''t to their credit is we win. Quite inconsistent.

The problem is that we haven''t won very often, in their 12 years at the club we have had 2 seasons where we have finished in the top six and that is nowhere near good enough. They have done plenty of good things off the pitch but have allowed the team to deteriorate to a level that has put our status at considerable risk. They should have seen the situation we now find ourselves in coming 2 or 3 years ago and tried to sell the club then but they seem to have hung on too long because they didn''t want to sell at that time, that has been detrimental to the club imo. We have all known for some time that investment was needed and even now I think they are only selling because they have been forced into it by the Turners departure.

I don''t bare them any ill will but I don''t think they deserve a heros send off when they go either.

Totally agree with that. No doubting that The Cook and husband have made significant investment and committment to NCFC but if / when they leave they should be thanked but not treated like Royalty with fans, media and god knows who else fawning at their feet as they make their exit. Unfortunately I fear the latter and can foresee all manner of statues being erected, stands being renamed etc. as the masses elbow each other out of the way to fall to their knees in subservience.

    Completely agree, good posts.

  3. Not sure yet, I think Marshall has a lot of potential, distribution is poor, no doubt, but shot stopping good, positioning good and communication improving. It certainly cant help that he has a different back four each week.

A point about the goal at the weekend. I would not try and say that he was not to blame, however I sit level with the incident and do feel that he was unlucky with the bounce of the ball as it certainly  had backspin on and spun away from him on the bounce, whether the outcome would have been different if the bounce was true I dont know. Just thought it worth making the comment.

  4. I  am sure this has been asked before, but just out of interest who actually goes and watches Norwich play each week. Some of the posts seem to suggest that there are a lot of opinions given by people who do not even watch the team, is this true?

i know not everyone can get tickets, live locally or can afford the games , but it would be useful to know where people get their information when trying to argue a point.

I do go to all the home games but cant get to many away games.

  5.
For me the top loan players are: Bertrand Lupoli Lita Sibierski Kennedy I would happily lose the rest and I think the team would be better off because of it. I would also swap Sibierski for Iverson in November. Anyone agree?
Agree in principle, but think that Sibierski needs to bring a bit more to the party.

  6.
That is the sad realisation I have come to after witnessing the awful display against Derby. These loan players may keep us in mid table, but we need some quality players of our own to challenge for promotion. That is really only going happen with a big takeover.
No argument with that. Unfortunately regardless of who is the manager and what team we pick from our current crop without substantial investment we must accept mid to lower league positions and some pretty poor performances.

As supporters we need to all acknowledge this and stop thinking that the manager or the loan players are responsible, we are skint that is the long and short of it!
Maybe if Dale Gordon was still here then we would have won yesterday, GR really has missed a trick in not signing him up! Quick lets sack him. Post seems appropriate given the number of ridiculous Huckerby fans on here.
Congratulations, you just became the 783rd person to make this point ... (which, isn''t even valid anyway as the way these players left are totally different concepts to that of Huckerby''s departure.)

Let me know when you finally realise your career as a Comedian isn''t worth persuing.
Yeah, but no, but yeah......

  8.

Jesus! I miss Mick Channon, Mike Phelan, Steve Bruce, Andy Linnegan, Ruel Fox, Ian Crook etc etc, please just can we move on and concentrate on the team we have?
Not much to concentrate on.
That may be your opinion, but it is the team we have. if you really do believe that there is nothing about the team to concentrate on then why support Norwich at all? Surely there is no point if you dont like the team at all??

  9.
Our total transfer dealings according to the accounts in the last year has cost the club a total of £400K. Yes that''s right for a net outlay of £400K GR has had to rebuild an entire squad. What do you expect? He''s performed a minor miracle in having something that looks like a squad for that money. Yes he uses a large number of loanees but has to as our board don''t give a fack about the football and only want to spend on fixed assets that boost the Stowmarket two''s share value.

I agree he''s stubborn as a mule and some of his selections make you think but he''s still as good a manager as we can expect given the crap that he has to work for.
Good post, agree with your point and think that it is ridiculous that people are already on his back, posters like Wiz will never give him a chance it seems. Just look at the response to your op by Wiz. i think that its a case of damned if you do damned if you dont for some people. Just wish that more people would be more understanding of the conditions GR is woring under.

The dismissal of MLS as being no good demonstrates complete ignorance of the quality and style of play in the league. Our clubs now win inter-league competitions that include the best teams from Mexico. If MLS is crap, then supposedly highly-rated Mexican club soccer is crap, too.

If it helps you lick your wounds to claim Huckerby is washed up and only playing well because there is no competition, think about this. England international David Beckham was not MLS Player of the Month, washed up has-been Huckerby was!  What does that say about English soccer?
That Huckerby should now be England captain?

  11.
No!

He is a human being who struggling to play football at the moment. We do no-body any favours with comments like that. Especially players in a team that we support.

I do think he should not be in the team at the moment though.
But still.............he is s**t!

  12. If we dont create chances it wont matter how many strikers we have or who they are we simply will not score, that is the problem at the moment, despite playing against ten men at home (AGAIN!) we did not create anything for our strikers. In addition the lack of physical strength in our team is desperate, every time I take my seat at Carrow Road and look at the opposition I think to myself "they are a bit big" it cant be that every visiting team is huge must be that we are just small, despite this being a big problem last year we have done nothing about it this year. Its all a bit pants really..

  13.
Yes its said everyday, yes many people still claim to disagree. We have not and cannot replace a player that still had two years left in him as our most creative and exciting player.I am a Roeder supporter, I would support him and wouldn''t blame him if he decided to leave us, but I hope that if he did go he would at least acknowledge that some of the mistakes have been his own.Huckerby''s release is Glens biggest mistake.
For F***s sake! GET OVER IT

  14. Why?Wiz in particular seems to have it in for the Rodent, I cant see why anyone is so anti Roeder from what I can tell he is doing the best he can with what hes got, far from being as inept asGrant so please can people give me a reason as to why the anti posts? Seems very unfair and smacks of negativity for the sake of it. Wiz going on about hexing things is absolutely no use to anyone, rather lets supporrt GR and what he is trying to do.

  15.

Personally and FWIW I don''t think he will be sacked, I think he will walk first.
Sacked! For what exactly, this post is stupid there is no reason to sack him whatsoever, what exactly do you think another manager would do different.

    Pointless
The question was asked I answered it, don''t like what I think, tough!
We are yellows, apologies had meant to quote original poster

This club should be challenging for a play-off place at least in this division year in year out, third best supported club and scope to grow the fanbase even further being the only football league club in Norfolk. The infastructure at the club has to be right and with investment this club would go places, why should we settle for mid table or lower again?
You have answered your own question, we should settle for mid-table because the infrastructure is not perfect and there is no investment. If these things change then we can expect better but until then expecting more will lead to disapointment
