The mid-late 90’s under Megson, Ricoh and Hamilton were some of the most forgettable seasons you could imagine, turgid mid table mediocrity, and the less said about Roeder’s loan packed relegation the better.

I fail to see why these fans think we should be dining at the top table constantly, and where this sense of entitlement comes from. In the last 30 years (almost) since we originally came down the only time we’ve stayed in the top flight for more than a season was surviving twice under Lambert and Hughton

the last game I went to the really discontented fans where all young uns so to speak

they have known nothing other than romping the league/promotion  I had this discussion with my autistic nearly 18 year old

he does not even have a living memory of losing to the Binners

Good to see him out on loan, the buzz around him was high on arrival. Given the amount of Goalkeepers we churn out of the academy and have on the books it’s a bit odd we haven’t had one even on the bench regularly for a very long time.

we have in the cup games

No, you’re right, I remember thinking the same a couple of weeks ago. It just goes to show the Championship is really competitive/poor (delete as applicable).

competitive if you compare the standard of football to even 2-3 years ago its improved noticed it more by watching Celtic play last week it just didnt flow well

most championship teams seem to be playing it out from the back with nice passing football now

I didn't skip any positive comments to present a negative spin I'm afraid, and I was hoping for positive comments for the reasons you state, here they all are:

Adam Idah || Fishal. Signed on loan. - Page 20 - Kerrydale Street

I scanned the forums before this and they come across as the bigest load of racist ( pure vileness to the english ) entitled arrogant fans I have ever read in my life

sorry scrap that Leeds fans are still worse

He’s going to be a top player, it’s a shame we were basically forced to sell him to anyone interested, he would have been immense for us this season.

there was no evidence to back that up at all last season he was no better than anyone else

I'd rather find 500k now, than 30m+ in 6 months, it's a drop in the ocean in comparison.  We've got a great asset in Sara who will most likely walk end of season,  Varane looks to be an investment and will likely increase in value, plus it free's up one of our greatest assets to give us the best chance of pushing for top six.

These transfers are all done in instalments so it's not that we need the cash right now, and we're screwed either way when it comes to end of season - the worst decision is to do nothing as we're more likely to devalue assets that we need to sell if we don't play to their strengths.

if we met Varanes release clause it would have to be $7m euros in cash the money is paid to the spanish fa and the player is not released until all the funds are cleared

Stan Kroenke is apparently asking for £2.15bn for Arsenal (pounds).

The £1.60bn figure you are stating for Milwaukee Brewers is actually dollars, so that's £1.26bn.

That does make Arsenal seem pretty cheap, however £200m+ in debt which a new owner will need to repay or service.

if you check out the American football teams we get some serious numbers compared to even the premier leagues elite

  8. lots of clubs skirting FFP multiple premier league teams needing to sell or cut the wage bill before they can bring anyone  in

West ham ,Aston villa ,Newcastle to name three none of them have money worries but just can spend the money they do have due to over spending

rumour has it Man cities crimes are so great they might get a Juventus style kicking out of the league due to the 115 breachs of FFP

outside of England there is even less money but thats normal

However, there is something about an English football club (lost causes by reputation) that seems to excite many successful American businessmen. It has been explained on here in a more serious tone and one related more to economics, but it seems that it has also become a feather in the cap of many.

Owning (part) of a PL club is the icing on the cake  ... and, of course, provides the opportunity for a lucrative sale, a fact that cannot be denied.

Football clubs are cheap Arsenal are valued at £1.86b the MIlwaukee brewers sit around the the £1.60b mark

the price to buy into american sports is high Inter Miami  cost $500m to enter MLS

Why does it? Luton are making a much better fist of staying up than our last two attempts and I don’t believe their squad last season is any better or worse than ours. Farke walked the league and had an appalling record in the top flight, whereas Alex Neil got us up through the playoffs and made a much better stab at staying up.

I’ll never turn down promotion as we never know what will happen if we get it.

lets fact check that one for a second Luton have 3 more points that we had at the same time so the win last night  if they lost they would have been doing exactly the same as we did in 2022

Appalling goal scoring record in Italy just the kind of striker we like

you know full well that meens nothing he did well in Holland which while not the best league is a step up from some he looks good in the air and strong the jury will be out for me but not going to write him off before he even kicks a ball if he signs

Temu failed in scotland which is nearly non league standard at times but flourished here

as for Idah he promised much but has never kicked on and needs a good run of games somewhere but personally suprised he has not had one of his trademark injuries yet

Don't think I'm renewing, though to be fair it's more cutting back on costs than it is the performances on the pitch, though the team are making the decision a lot easier to swallow it must be said.

I had to make that choice in the past with a growing family it became a chore and the extra expense  fuel/food/parking and more importanly time became to great

last season I know serveral long term season ticket holders who stopped going but the seats got taken by others so we still sold out the season tickets still a waiting list

My brother took a different option with his two seats one he rents out to a friend for the last two years who also has his second seat if he doesnt attend
