  1. My brothers friend plays for the academy (bit far fetched but its true) and apparently if we dont get promoted next year then the club is going to sell the training complex and downgrade. Apparently if this happens a lot of the youth players will leave. All sounds a bit ominous to me, hopefully it''s not true, but if it is then the financial situation does look pretty dire.

  2. Firstly, I''m not financial genius. I was wondering how bad our financial situation is?I remember Doomcaster saying the difference in TV money between the Championship an League One is about one million (i think).Stefanovich also said in his interview that due to relegation he''s had to take a wage cut, presumably this is true for everyone else. Depending on who you listen to we got between 300 and 500k for Marshall, and he was probably one of the highest wage earners. Croftys off and hes also probably one of the highest earners, as is Clingan who''ll probably leave. We also arent paying any of the wages for loan players any more. Apparently we''ve also got 100k from the Lewis deal. Therefore, I think that the club may actually have more money than people have been saying to invest in players, not necessarily in huge transfer fees, but maybe in wages.

  3. Darren Ward at Wolves said on Soccer AM a couple of weeks ago that he wants to go out on loan. Hed do a good job til the end of the season.I cant see any big money signings as Gunns only here until the end of the season atm, so I dont think the board will give him much to work with, if we have anything.

  4. This isnt a wind up, but apparently Gunn and Deehan have been talking to another old boy, Gary Megson, about bringing Shittu on loan from Burnley until the end of the season. Bolton have just signed a Puygrenier and are still interested in Davenport.  And also, although this is a bit unbelievable, we apperently are trying to sign Ade Akinbiye from Burnley, not sure whether its a loan or a permanent though.

  5. This is from wikipedia, but i remembe it being true.At the 2006–07 Norwich City FC Annual General Meeting (on the 18 January 2007)

Smith and Wynn-Jones announced that they would be open to offers to buy

their majority stake-holding in the club. However, they made clear that

any prospective buyer would have to invest heavily in the squad, with

    regards to team improving.[70]

    The only way we would

relinquish our shares is if somebody is going to put money into the

football....Only if they put money into the squad - not if they buy our

shares, we don''t want money. It has to be that there is money for the

squad, serious money for the squad.
Does Cullums offer surely not meet these requirements?I will be very interested to see if Delia and Jones can find a new excuse to turn face and reject Mr. Cullums offer.

  6. m at uni now so i couldnt get to the game so put the rest of my hall throuh it but i was wonderin if it was really as bad as it looked on tv. when they scored it also sounded like the crowd (completely fairly) properly turned against the team/manaer/board. i cant even remember hearing it that bad at the end of worthy and was wonderin if i was hearin right?

  7. I was looking on Wikipedia at Ajax''s squad and clicke on VCOlin''s name where it says this :

"In early July 2007, Colin was invited to a three week trial with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam. On July 30th 2007 the move was finalised for a fee of 100,000 euros. This move has strengthened relationships between Norwich City and Ajax Amsterdam with Norwich now likely to bring Dutch U-19 midfielder Henk ten Krol to Carrow Road before the start of the new season for an undisclosed fee."

Anyone else heard about this or know who ten Krol is?

I know its wikipedia and not the best source but its quite interesting.

  8. ive heard from my mate whos a leicester fan that kentons coming back as well. with hughes on his way to leeds or oldham apparently grant sees him as an option at centre half as well as covering for otsemebor and drury. i know hes been shit since he left but if he can get back to how he was when he played here before i think it might turn out to be a good signing, especially as its free.

  9. people keep going on about the sale of etuhu being a disaster for the club, but i think that 1.5 million for a player, who to be fair could be brilliant on his day, was too inconsistant is a good deal. anyhow i dont think we need a new player to replace him. we''ve signed brellier who im certain will turn out to be a great signing, safri is still here and weve got jimmy smith who looks like a real prospect from what ive seen and could turn out to be better than etuhu. fozzy is also still here and although he was crap last year from what ive seen and heard so far in pre season he looks like he could become a good championship player. lappin can also play in the middle so i think we are sorted there.

all we need now i a good solid centre half and we''ll definitely have the quality to go  up.
