1.
Sorry Cluck but the way he has come out in public is a disgrace and shows no content for the norwich fans who dearly love the bloke.
It''s just a job to footballers BW and as he has no connections to Norfolk you can''t expect anything more than 100% effort on the pitch which he has given aplenty week in week out. That''s life I''m afraid and if he leaves he goes with my respect and admiration for what he''s done for us.

  2. Maybe it''s the old Rooney trick....Perhaps our illustrious owners were refusing to up his money (which he deserves) and so he bangs in the transfer request to twist a few arms. He isn''t getting any younger and I suspect plenty of clubs would double his wages and give him a 2 year contract. It''s a short career and he hasn''t had very many years to build up a retirement kitty.

  3.
Who cares? As long as Kenny''s replacement is from a club who are unlikely to poach Lambert, it''s fine with me. [:D]
Indeed. The more time goes on the more I think PL will be here for the start of next season at least. I don''t think any of the clubs who are currently managerless would suit him with his limited experience in the top flight, except Everton maybe.I think Celtic might be his next move if Lennon was removed..... so let''s just hope they carry on doing well.

  4. These players are more ''brands'' than anything else these days and a place in the England team means more sponsorship and more off the pitch income. This has been Beckham''s business ploy for years and it''s kept him in the limelight long after he should have moved aside. Needless to say the FA benefit from these ''stars'' also.Very disappointed with Hodgson''s gutless performance and I fear another grey man has been put in place to do the FA''s bidding. Come on down Steve McLaren mark II.

  5. Fair comments, but looking around the country how many English ''keepers are out there? Very few is the answer. Also it''s fine to quote that foreign imports aren''t an issue, but there is only one place for a keeper in a team, so the more foreign players being the first choice means very few opportunities for inexperienced keepers to shine.Ruddy is far from the finished article and while he might be good enough one day, he certainly isn''t yet. How many times have we seen a promising career blighted by expecting too much too soon?

"Barton is a real man set amidst a bunch of play acting prima donnas.Years ago he would simply be seen as a hard player but unfortunately this is the age of diving, cheating and feigning injury while Joey remains honest and ''old school''.More Joeys and less cheating overseas patsies might may football a man''s game again."

Cluck, what planet, this would be the same Barton who acted like he''d been shot when touched while at Newcastle, so embarrassed was Pardew he sold him to Colin at QPR!

Total little scumbag and should never be classed in the same bracket as the old school hard pro''s like Jack Charlton, Joe Jordan and such like.
Remember that these ''old school pro''s'' were surrounded by similar ''old school pros'' who would give as good as they got. These days players roll on the ground in mock agony and then hold up imaginary cards to the ref trying to get players sent off. I''d have Joey in our team tomorrow given the chance. He''s out there and what you see is what you get.
Cluck, if you had a say in how the club was run, i''m pretty sure we would end up like QPR, team full of overpaid dirt bags, with an rich owner who will run as soon as things get tough. Perhaps it''s actually time for you to change your allegiance
I take it you disagree then? That''s your prerogative of course.Interesting to know however that in your opinion anyone with an alternative view should ''change their allegience''.I suggest you join the forum ''opinion control'' gang... I''m sure they''ll love having you on board.

  8.

Wonder what the new manager will be earning then, eh?
Is Lambert is that daft?  He may gain in the short term but I would think he has a long term ambition to manage a top 6 club.  If that is the case, he may think twice about taking on the mess that exists at Villa Park at the moment.
If he took on NCFC which was an absolute basket case down in Division Three.... I suspect taking on a ''sleeping giant'' like Villa in the Premier League won''t present a problem.

  9.

It''s always a danger to have all of your eggs in one basket.Paul Lambert IS Norwich City''s current success and without him I fear the worst.
How very disrespectful to David McNally....
Is it the doctor on the ward that saves lives or the executive sat in his office?

  10.
Of course, that''s only if it''s a done deal.

What seems more likely, is that at the moment, there is no done deal. Instead, McNally recognises that if Villa made an approach to Lambert, Norwich City FC would have to come up with something to keep him. In other words, we''d have to fight to keep him by offering him as attractive a deal/transfer kitty as we can.
I fully agree with that. It''s probably all up in the air at NCFC and McNally can''t just duck the questions coming his way.
