1.

Yay! I sense another thread that''s going to attract the same old characters, who repeat the same old arguments rarely (if ever!) make new points and it will all descend into petty name calling. Psychic or what?
Although I should point out this is not an attack against the OP who highlighted the magnificent job that the club has done recently. It''s a shame other people can''t keep up with the progress this clubs making...
I think the 28,000 view thread a week or two back brought much of that to a close... the real perpetrators exposed.I''m ''born again'' like Cliff Richard.
But that can''t be right....... he''s distinctly odd.  [;)]
Poor choice.... but I couldn''t think of anyone else.  [:)]

  3.
Its been a great three years but its was criminal neglect we were in the third tier in the first place, forgetting this has been made easy by our success but lets hope lessons were learned.
And to think of the fuss and nonsense a few of us caused by demanding something better........Ah well.

Oh the good old days, jumpers for goal posts, slap anybody tha looked at you funny, throwing bog rolls onto the pitch, you looking at me funny Edmund, are you, do you want some?.......
The hooliganism issue going back to the 70s is way over stated and I doubt hardly anyone on here got involved in a ''proper'' scrap.... Testosterone has a great way of exaggerating reality.

  5. Let''s all wait to see if Hodgson is a different beast to his ''yes man'' FA predecessors.... or discover that there will be a ''no hard feelings Liverpool'' call up for Carroll and the usual over-capped cronies. No Terry, Lampard and Carroll and I might take an interest in things even if Holty doesn''t get a look in.

  6.
Cardiff have spent most of the post war period as a struggling lower League club getting crowds well under 10,000 so such a stupid idea wouldn''t be that much of a surprise down there!

Remember the up roar when we changed to yellow shorts in the 1990''s?

I''m still cursing the day in the late 60''s when black shorts where ditched!
With those fabulous yellow stripes.....Classy kit that was.

  7.
The FA and their managers have''nt a clue where Norwich is, Holt has more chance of becoming prime minister. Kevin Keelan was one of the best keepers around in his era never got a sniff always said to be one of the best keepers not to play for England, it will be the same old faces believe me.
Keelan was majestic between the posts and I believe all he ever got was one consolation game for the Football League XI.We still love him anyway.... in a manly sort of way.

  8.
Didn''t Steve Bull get picked for England a few times due to club form, despite being unfancied/"unfashionable"?
Twenty odd years ago Mr Chops and pre the Premier League hype of today. Clubs like City even managed 3rd in the top flight back then but I can''t see that ever happening without wage caps or whatever to even things out.Still... new manager, new philosophy and all that.

  9. I can well imagine the players listening to it after the game and having a laugh... or a good swear if things didn''t go well. It''s not like Sunday football where they have to vacate the dressing room within half an hour of the final whistle so the caretaker can get in and clean up.

  10. Such radical action hasn''t happened in the England set up for many years... but if Hodgson bucks the trend and selects our Grant he''ll have the support of every one of us no matter what happens during his England tenure.Apart from anything else I want it for Holt if only to show the football world that the under dog can still make it to the top if he''s good enough.
