  1. here''s a list of the bookies prices9/2        Mark Robins 6/1        Aidy Boothroyd 7/1        Ian Holloway 8/1        Alan Pardew 8/1        Darren Ferguson 8/1        Gary McAllister 9/1        Mark Bowen 10/1        Iain Dowie 10/1        Alan Curbishley 10/1        Paul Ince 12/1        Peter Taylor 12/1        Malky Mackay 14/1        Dion Dublin 14/1        Lawrie Sanchez 14/1        Paul Jewell 14/1        Steve Cotterill 33/1        John Ward for me robins, ferguson, boothroyd and curbs should be the only candidates, unless we go until the end of season appointment then someone like ward or dowie will do short term.

  2. di matteo for me, young, hungry coach who is making a strong start at mk dons. or maybe even young ferguson a great management win record and has peterborough åushing for a second succesive promotion.

also billy davies would be under strong consideration, did a fine job at preston and derby and has strong league experience.

realistic targets, will they work who knows? but at least they tick more boxes than most other candidates.

  3. First goalscorer - Stakes are refunded on any player who takes no part

in the match or who comes on as substitute after the first goal has

been scored. Own goals do not count for first goalscorer purposes and

are ignored for settlement purposes. On some matches the first

goalscorer betting may be limited to one specific team.that''s the official rules of ladbrokes betting.  I have a feeling that non starter pay out on kennedy may have been a mix up.  I''ve never heard of paying out on players who go off injured unless it is a special concession.

  4. tell you what paint me yellow wished I''d asked you for the lottery numbers tonight seeing as your all knowing of things beforehand. IN that way I wouldn''t have to sit around looking at the smug morons with all their told you so comments that are really constructive at the moment.

you know what people thought sibierski was good when he came because they had seen him play when he looked good, when he netted in the premier league. saw lots of him under roeder and newcastle and for a half a season he was quality, now I agree he''s looked rubbish since he got here (minus the plymouth game) but that doesn''t mean it''s c ase of told you so. I don''t think we can get at roeder and say oh told you he wouldn''t work, how did he or we know, there''s not a purchase I can say roeder hasn''t made that I thought that was a bad call. He''s brought in players who haven''t hit it off and are played out of position if any fingers need to be pointed it''s there. But noone should be smug as to come on here and say they knew how a transfer would turn out when they didn''t have a clue and still don''t have a clue as to how it will work long term.

  5. I''m not sure if any of you moaners have actually been watching football, I had the joy of watching sibierski under roeder in really what was a poor side and he was excellent and that was in the premiership.  He is good in the air, nice touch and has more footballing talent than a 100 million john stead''s.  It''s probably the precise reason I neevr come on this board much as idiots just sit around and whinge at anything our manager does.  If people are so unhappy i''ll happy take their season ticket off their hand, I''ll come back in a few months time and see just how many of you are prepared to whinge about sibierski then. Maybe when we see him on the pitch we can start to make some reasoned weighted rational judgements.

  6. Lies, damned lies, and statistics” is part of a phrase attributed to Benjamin Disraeli and popularized in the United States by Mark Twain.  I''m not sure who you were expecting to sign but clearly it was someone like van nistelrooy or drogba.  Sibierski may not have a great goalscoring record but as someone who watched him under roeder at newcastle I know how effective he was and that was in the prem, I can''t begin to imagine what he can do in the championship  He is smart and intelligent, good in the air, links the play up wll and can teach the youngsters a great deal.  If you want to judge a player on stats then you can do that , I like most other fans will be judging him where it counts on the pitch. This really is the best signing we could have got on the day and seeing as he was on the subs bench for wigan at the weekend hats off to roeder for pulling off such a coup.

  7. to be honest guys I have little sympathy if they dont have the rights they dont have the rights, it''s an online issue.  They can''t provide you with content they don''t have.  It is two seperate rights, the online rights and the local radio rights. one belongs to bcc one belongs to premium tv. I''m sure the bbc would love to provide the content but they''ve been sold down the river with the rights going to premium tv.I don''t like but the bbc are as much a victim of premium tv''s uselessness as we are.

  8. I think pattison was the weird sub when we needed creativity and had chadwick on the bench.  I just hope that was something roeder had in his system as an idea and we found out it hasn''t worked and it wasn''t in a league game.by the way surely archibald henville would have been the logical centre back choice.

  9. according to sporting life it was ahrsh on us and coleman didn''t seem to happy with his side either so he must have thought they got out of jail.

Coventry manager Chris Coleman was less than thrilled with

his side''s display this afternoon despite seeing them open their

Coca-Cola Championship campaign with a 2-0 win over Norwich at the

    Ricoh Arena.

Leon McKenzie''s 100th career goal against his former gave the Sky Blues the perfect start to their season.

The forward, who missed most of last season through injury, tapped

in an 85th-minute clincher from two-yards after a Clinton Morrison

    effort bounced off the crossbar.

His goal sealed a win after Coventry had taken the lead in the 46th

minute through Elliott Ward when he converted a dubious penalty.

The result was harsh on Norwich, however, who had outplayed Coventry

for most of the game and spurned several good opportunities.

Coleman said: "It wasn''t a good performance but the desire and will

to win were good. We were desperate at times and we''re a much better team than we showed today.

"I''m delighted for Leon. He came on and did well and was unlucky not score with his first touch.

"I thought Norwich should have had a penalty and maybe we should not have had one.

  10. couldn''t agree more, spurs will embarass many sides with there slick football not least a side in the league below who had a defence that had hardly played alongsideeach other. Hull lost 4-0 to crewe at the weekend, celtic lost to cardiff, it''s pre season this stuff happens.  I''ll reserve the right to panic until a good month or two into the season when the side is settled and we see how it shapes up.
