Good call - there''s more chance of catching Santa Claus peeing down my toilet than us signing anyone !
BOOOOOOOOOOO hissssssss
Not good enough city !
-
Blah - I take your point about Leon not wanting to play for us anymore. But that doesn''t excuse the fact that someone of similar ability should have been drafted in before we sold him.
That is ineptitude in the extreme. Somewhat typical of Worthless in the last two years.
-
Thats not Worthington and Doncaster stuck in there is it ?!
Nice couple of t*ts
-
True, but at least they have adequate back up if they get injuries. What the hell have we got? -
So Ralph you''re happy with our policy of selling senior players and not replacing them are you? And do you think the squad has adequate cover to sustain a concerted promotion push?
I mean thats what we all want isn''t it Ralph...our team challenging for promotion? I worry about supporters like you Ralphy baby...i think you should go and watch Thetford Town a teaam more akin with your aspirations.
-
And this is a club supposedly gunning for promotion what a joke. We so desperately needed to get 2 or 3 players in before the window closed, why nothing ? Other clubs in the Championship are trying to strengthen, Stoke buying Fuller and Hull getting Parkin - ok not brilliant players by any stretch of the imagination but good solid back up that could have done us a turn.,

Calm down your having a laugh are''n ya !
I''m so angry my fingers are trembling. What message are we sending out here - good little old Norwich selling its best players again and looking as though its not going to replace them.
I realise the Mckenzie situation was a tricky one for the club to handle but surely a replacement at the very least should have been secured before selling him.
As far as im concerned this is another poke in the eye for the fans of this club.
Pathetic.

I''m sorry....Worthington strikes again. What a muppet !
Suicide selling a player of Leons ability and not replacing him.
-
No. We''ve had a good start at HOME but i''m far from convinced this nothing more than just a flash in the pan.
Question: How on earth are we going to win promotion with a squad s small as this?
Even more burning question: Considering we were a premiership outfit but 2 seasons ago why do we have one of the smallest squads in this division ?
Lastly, don''t you think its scandalous that we don''t look as though we are going to make any signings before the transfer deadline?
-
How can we even consider selling him at the moment ! we''ve got a thin enough squad as it is. -
Macken''s done jack shXX in the last 3 or four years. Was along time go that he was banging in the goals for Preston. Ipswich are welcome to him. -
Derby win 2-1. -
Ralph - it must be truly exhausting walking around with that enourmous great chip on your shoulder all day !
We''re all loyal fans of this club or we wouldn''t bother coming on this forum.
-
Nobody - Gallagher is more than adequate and Lewis a talented understudy. The money received should be used to strengthen our squad which IMO is currently too weak to sustain a promotion challenge. We definately need another striker and possibly midfielder.
-
I think next week at Derby will reveal more about what we can expect this season. I rather fear a strong at home weak away pattern developing following previous seasons under Worthington. Should this be the case i think the club will have to act and finally wield the axe on to Worthington.
In short the club has to now start being ruthless to show we mean business.

If wanting a change of management for the best for NCFC makes me a club hater than i''ll have to just take it on the chin. I will also have to question why i was leaping around the living room like a salmon on acid after we scored our third yesterday.
Somewhat bizarre reactions for a hater of Norwich City Football Club.
-
I''m with Jas on this. Its a goodish start but Worthy has a long way to go before i am convinced he should stay.
Defeat avoidance at Derby would be a start.
-
Another superb win. Great to have the feel good factor back on a Saturday night.
Now lets start doing the business away from FCR.
-
Definately not. Actually, i thought he had retired. -
Sounds interesting in the short term but how long can you go on effectively supporting the team and not the manager? -
I haven''t read all of this thread so forgive me if i''m repeating anything but it looks like you can pick up the gist of it from the first few posts, and a whole load more posts to be honest.
I wasn''t a vociferous worthy outer and i really disliked the atmosphere on here for much of last season and have stayed away. But it seems to me that these "i told you so/be embarrassed" posts only serve to preserve that atmosphere and reignite old, unpleasant arguments.
The fact is, we were playing rubbish, people were upset, and had a whole range of opposing ideas about how to fix things. Now we''re playing better (so far) and people aren''t so upset and are understandably a bit more optimistic. You can''t criticise people for that.
Wizard, may i register my wholehearted approval of your new avatar.
I agree but we''ve only played two games so far this season and we lost one of those. IMO there has to be a massive improvement in our abysmal away form if Worthington is to survive. And i''m not talking about 1-1 draws at flippin Hull City !
-
Certain people (and that probably includes myself !!!) on this fine measuring tool of opinion need to take a step backwards and take stock. We are two games into the season and whilst things are looking encouraging its impossible to predict how the season is going to pan out. Lets see where we are after 10 games before any further judgements are cast.
I would just like to say that i respect most of the pro Worthy posters on this board (even though i massively disagree with them) but Ralph, dear Ralph your posts make me heave !! you are so blo*dy arrogant and dismissive. Why?
-
For me the whole Chris Sutton saga is a complete nonsense and we should now put it to bed and move on. He was never coming back to city and never will as we can''t afford his wages. End of. -
I agree with you Alex - great result tonight for the team/club but i will never get behind Worthington again. He shouldn''t and doesn''t deserve to still be manager.
What is up with most of you?

I for one am getting a bit cheesed off with "i''m a better fan than you" argument. I too come from the south coast but at the moment personal circumstances prevent me from attending many City games. In fact i was only able to attend 3 poxy games last season. However, i still love this club and regard myself as just as much a fan as the blahs and Dickys of this world.
Nobody should have to justify their support for this club to any other fan as at the end of the day we all want what is best for the club. Football is a game of opinions, we are all individuals with differing views that at the very least should be respected.
