  1. The ''senior citizens'' who phoned Canary Call on Saturday didn''t sound like hooligans to me... Joe from Cringleford (who fell out with Adams because he dared to criticise him) sounded like someone who, if really riled, might just poke Kipper, Donkeycaster or Munbybags in the chest with his rolled-up newspaper if he met them in Sainsbury''s ....  [;)]

Hooligan behaviour? I think not.  [:)]

    Minority? Definitely not!!!  [:@]

  2. "For me the sensible strategy would be to ditch him now and give the new manager, whoever it is, at least half a dozen games to assess the squad before the summer".

I''d love to see this happen, CM.  The trouble is, unless it''s someone like Mark Bowen (my choice), the Board will never get Parkinson or Boothroyd (Newell, just maybe) right now - they''re too busy trying to get their team promoted. No manager worth his salt would give up the chance of achieving that - not even for NCFC.

  3. [quote user="lucky green trainers"]since palace, reading this board i never seen so many KTFers move their position to worthy out.

after watching such a display yesterday, i can''t believe worthy and his coaches will want to stay on.  there''s surely nothing they can do to turn such a deep slump around.

i feel gutted for worthy in truth that''s its come to this. in his heart he wouldn''t really want to leave after such a performance, becuase of the type of man he is - he''d want to prove everyone wrong.  but he must also realise deep down its just not happening for him any longer at city. sure,  there''s next season, but worthy has always been about honest performances with the resources he''s got, and for one reason or another he can''t get the squad to play to anywhere close of their true potential - that must be hurting him like hell, as must the reaction of the fans.

the board have been behind worthy out of loyalty and conviction that he could do the best job for city.  their prudence with ambition policy has fallen down around their ears - they probably feel slightly guilty that he had little to spend at the start of the prem season and therefore feel slightly to blame for worthy''s current situation -  having charlie as a centre back and the doc as our main striker was never going to be enough. in hind sight.

he''s done a good job for city and we are in a stronger position than when he came, make no mistake - but to battle on now is like adding insult to injury and nobody whoever they are deserves that.

Superbly put - can''t say it any better than that, LGT.

  4. I don''t think the 2 things are mutually exclusive, Rudolph. I happen to have 2 more years to run on my season ticket, so I do not have to make a renewal decision right now (although I certainly haven''t extended it any further).  But NCFC is too important to me to walk away from - especially as I don''t think the Board will ''take the hint'' from the few (and it will only be a few, Rudolph) who not to renew.

Rather, renew BUT, at the same time, continue to make your feelings known that we want a change - and we want it NOW!!  Get a ''result'' (in footballing parlance) and you''ll hopefully enjoy next season SOOOOOO much more!!  [:D]

  5. SPat said: "The players yesterday had every motivation to beat Palace and try a late surge into the playoffs. They did not perform in any way and may well take some blame themselves, but if they can''t be bothered then that is reason enough for Worthy to go now".

This is what I find so very hard to understand - to me, yesterday was rather like last season''s last game at Craven Cottage.  A chance to shine, a chance for the team to show that they were up for it - and, instead, utter capitulation

Whilst I still strongly believe that the management needs a total change, what is the matter with the team that they just cannot stir themselves???   Does Worthy really need to kick ass to get them show any pride?  Or does he really confuse them so much that they really don''t know how to play when 3 o''clock the whistle goes???

Incidentally, McKenzie, Huckerby, Drury, Doc (there may have been others, too) were all spotted at Excel at last night''s boxing extravanganza - so no question of them slinking off home to look at themselves in the mirror and ask ''Could it just be me that''s not fully earning his corn...''  Clearly nothing must get in the way of a bit of relaxation after such hard -ought match.... ha! ha!

I''m getting more and more despondent about the whole damn thing, frankly....  [:@]

  6. He''s gone for the old political trick of hit out at your critics before they smack you in the eye. Almost invariably a sign of a desperate man.... [;)]

Looks to me as if Barmy Kipper was Rick Fagend''s source the other day for the latter''s ''use your eyes'' article in the Pink''Un which contained the not-too-subtle ''coded'' message the Independent Supporters Association to zip it!

Human nature being what it is, you only get a reaction like Kipper''s when there''s questions going unanswered.... [:@]
