  1. The answer to this is really quite simple. The Norwich City management, whether that be Doncaster, Worthington or whoever you want to blame, were incompetent in this whole matter. The correct way to have handled this was to say to Bristol that we offer them £Xm on the condition that if it is excepted they listen to no offers from other clubs. We could tell them that we have to impose this condition as we cannot sell Leon without being sure of a replacement. If Bristol accept these terms we go ahead and complete both transfers as desired. If not we still have time to find a plan B. Whats the difficulty with that??? To allow Bristol to keep their options open as Mr Doncaster said they had was shear stupidity.

  2. I agree that letting go of both Iwan and Malky was a big turning point. OK, Iwan was getting old but could still do a job for part of the game and his presence on the bench was huge. Letting go of Malky who has only recently got into the Scotland team and then had Fleming and Charlton playing in Central defense together was a disaster. Result of both those players going - no height, no leaders, no spirit. After that we got Ashton who almost single handedly brought survival with him but after we failed at Fulham the summer signings and exits did nothing to make up for a short comings.

Worthington has always had a poor away record - even when we won the championship our away record wasn''t that great. I''m afraid we are stuck with a naive manager and its going to take at least half a season more of misery before the board finally caves in.

  3. Stupid Knee jerk again Wiz? Maybe - maybe not.

I don''t have any inside knowledge but I strongly suspect that NU choose this option to protect their own investment. Perhaps Ipsh1t told them that they could not pay back the loan and may go bankrupt unless NU agreed to accept payment in an alternative form. I suspect NU are getting a pretty good deal out of the whole thing. I very much doubt they said to themselves ''lets buy 10% of a local team'' and then plumpt for them rather than us.

Then again, I could be wrong. But its not happened before!

  4. Not on Virgin unfortunately mate. On continental. Me and the other chap will be travelling in our Norwich shirts though. Maybe she will see us in the airport. We''re going on a Continental Airlines flight.
Haven''t been before - gonna be fantastic!
Plus my internet tournies have gone great for the last 3 days. Had my first ever win tonight. Hopefully peaking in form at the right time!
Will report back on my return!

  5. Wiz might not be a pro gambler but I''m playing in the World Poker Championship in Vegas next week as is another Norwich fan that I''m going to meet at Gatwick tomorrow. We both won our $10000 through a well know bookies poker site (that begins with L). They are only taking 50 people and at least 2 are Canaries. Good eh! And top prize is about $3.5m so wish us luck and we might be buying a few shares in the club when we get back ;-)
