  1. After getting promoted in 2005, West Ham finished 9th in the Premiership (55 points) and got to the FA Cup Final where they lost on penalties to Liverpool in what was one of the best ever finals.

They were also 8th after 25 games, albeit with 3 more points than we currently have.

Also as with the previous two seasons we have got stronger as the season has progressed, which seems to be happening again now.

Could we replicate what the Hammers achieved in 2006?  I certainly think we can.

  2. I agree.

I had noticed the similarities of the League 1 and Championship seasons, how we started slowly but got stronger as the season progressed.  I was unsure if we would continue that pattern ths season, but having won 6 out of 9 and only losing one since Spurs it seems that looks set to happen again.  We can finish as high as we like.

  3. I think part of the problem with Torres is Chelsea''s style doesn''t suit him.  Their system is set up for someone like Drogba - big, heavy, target man.  Not someone like Torres who needs the ball to feet, played for him to run on to or crossed in on to his head...  If Torres was here I think he''d score way more regularly because of the way we play.

  4. I wouldn''t say they are unfair, could be fairer but that''s about it.

6th play 3rd so in theory that is to give the 3rd best team the best chance.

I think they should be, 3rd get''s a bye to Wembley, then 6th play 5th away, with the winner of that playing 4th away... Then the winner of that plays 3rd in the final.
