Generally speaking, that was one of Roeder''s strengths, he did have an eye for a good player (although some exceptions obviously), he just couldn''t manage them! -
Wiz I think in the conference yesterday it was said that it was interim, and as Gazza says it is a requirement. It said he was something like a non-executive director or something. -
Great idea, I was wondering the same.
-
He didn''t have a problrm managing Brighton did he? -
It''s true I''ve just received one of them club text things.
GET IN!!!!!
-
Simple, the club can''t face the truth! -
I''m sure there''s plenty of 36 year olds with 14 year olds, I don''t see your point?
-
He left because he apparently wanted to be closer to his family in Luton.Surely he would''ve known he would be away from his family when he joined? Or his wife should accept you get a lot of perks being with a footballer, so should accept moving around. It''s about an hour longer to get to Luton from here than Coventry, but still, its less than 2.5 hours. -
Don''t give him hell, will only boost his ego and bring a performance out of him.If we just ignored it, he probably wouldn''t like it. -
Tilson.... Interesting idea of not getting out much, I''d have thought going to London would be getting out? Apparently not...... -
I was thinking of coming, but will be in London watching the X Factor tour, but hope it''s a good meeting.. -
Smudger... I usually agree with your sentiments, but why do you take so much glory in telling people you are right? Just doesn''t make sense. Whatever anyone thinks about Delia any Norwich fan would not want to see us doing as poorly as we are. -
Not sure if I made it clear, but I meant I don''t think he''s an ITFC fan. I agree he''s just pants! -
I don''t believe he is. For the simple reason, a few years ago, for my sins, I watched Ipswich play QPR at Portman Road (was good as they lost - it was the Sat before we played Man City infamously on the Monday - Delia).... He was dreadful that day, not particularly either way just awful.Remember, he booked Barry Ferguson twice and didn''t send him off, in 2004 Southampton/Blackburn game. -
Marshall is no worse than the rest of the team, including Cureton, all of them are inconsistent. If you''re comparing Cureton to Marshall, think how poor our defence is, most keepers would struggle not to make mistakes in front of ours. How many times did they get past our defence? Although I accept yesterdays wasn''t. Jamie has missed chance after chance - there is no way you can say he is any less responsible than Marshall. If Marshall hadn''t made the mistake yesterday maybe we wouldn''t have lost to Bristol City, equally had Cureton not missed the sitter against Southampton we probably would have won that! Both are guilty, but equally Marshall''s kept us in countless games this year - when Curo''s started he hasn''t kept us in games. -
-
Would be interesting to compare that to other teams in the league, but it does indeed sound like a lot. -
He has to be dropped - but onto the bench.Strikers missing chances are big mistakes - when they''re paid not to miss. If Marshall made as many mistakes in a game as Curo missed chances, he would rightly be slaughtered as we''d concede even more goals. He would be dropped - same should apply to Curo.I like Jamie very much, nice having a player who cares and you know puts in 100% all the time.... But, strikers are judged by goals and he''s not scoring them. So despite his effort, he''s not doing his job. He''s also the type of striker like Earnshaw, Owen, etc, whose only use to a team is goals - he might run about, but he''s not much use to anything but the attack (not a criticism, it''s just the sort of player he is), and if he''s not contributing very much you can''t justift playing him.I think the issue people have with you Wiz, is your blind faith in Jamie lad, who in your eyes can do no wrong, when if it was any other striker, you would be constantly slating them like you do pretty much everyone else. -
Apologies for it not putting the video I am not sure how to on this board - Canvey Island V Dartford - Cody McDonald Hatrick -

I think it''s great we''re trying to find players from the non-leagues - see other teams do it seems we never do but we have. Not got much to lose - as others have said I''m sure he won''t cost too much, so if he fails oh well, but if it goes well we''ve got a steal.Remember Lee Marshall, we got him from non-league.Question is will the majority of fans back him? I will be.I just wait for Wizzy to slate him before he''s joined or been seen play...... -
In some ways its a bit annoying, but even though I''ve occasionally thought about stopping, I just don''t think I could - Saturdays when they''re away are bad enough, but when they''re at home it would feel wrong not being there. -
Yes we are Pete. They''ve won 1, drawn 6 and lost 7 at home. won 5 away, drawn 2, and lost 7 away -
For God Sake, Please people!
